The Cardinal Chorale

🔈VOLUME UP and welcome to Fred Friday! You’re currently listening to “I Hear Music” performed at our 30th Anniversary Celebration in June.

The Chorale takes HEAVY inspiration from Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians, a singing group popular in the 30s and 40s. “I Hear Music” was considered their theme song and, as a tribute to Waring and the group, we have sung this song at all of our concerts for as long as we can remember! 🎵

Tune back in next Fred Friday for another mini-lesson on Fred Waring and his impact on the Chorale!

🗣️ New series alert! We want to show off the people who make our mission possible, so tune in for introductions to our wonderful staff over the next few months! First up, Lauren! 🤩

“I joined the Chorale 11 years ago as a singer and became a staff member when I aged out. All of our staff wear a few different hats as you’ll see through this series, but some of my roles include co-admin for our social media pages, Workshop Office Manager, and Workshop Residence Hall Dean. Outside of the Chorale, I’m an accountant with Steiner + Associates in Columbus, Ohio and my favorite soup is chicken tortilla!” 🎵
