What happens when the mission field comes to you?

Recently, we had the privilege of welcoming friends and ministry partners from Ecuador to the United States for a reverse mission trip. Through worship, storytelling, fellowship, and shared experiences, they offered a firsthand look at how God is transforming lives through ministry in Ecuador.

Their visit wasn't just about sharing information. It was about building deeper relationships, strengthening partnerships, and reminding us that mission is something we do together.

Just like in the United States, Ecuador celebrates National Flag Day — a moment when students take part in ceremonies filled with pride, honor, and tradition. It’s a beautiful reminder of identity, heritage, and the hope the next generation carries.

We celebrate the teenagers in our care who are now stepping into their final year of school. Their futures are bright, and their determination inspires us.

And to our One Day donors — thank you. Your support strengthens their steps, opens doors, and reminds them they are seen, valued, and surrounded by a community that believes in their future.

"What I enjoy most are home visits, as they allow me to interact directly with parents, caregivers, and children in their own environment, gain firsthand insight into their reality, and build an atmosphere of trust. I particularly enjoy listening to their experiences and laughter and seeing how they participate in and enjoy the activities and exercises.

It is rewarding to arrive at a home and be welcomed with genuine joy, feeling that our presence truly matters to the family. I also value the opportunity to support families during difficult times, listening without judgment and helping them recognize their own strengths and capabilities.

Sharing in their joys, supporting their progress, and offering hope during hardships is one of the most meaningful aspects of my work—knowing that the sun can always shine again after cloudy days, and being able to contribute in some way to that process of change and family strengthening."

I am motivated by seeing children feel heard and supported, and by seeing adults find in us support as they navigate the situations and conflicts they face.

I believe each experience reaffirms the value of contributing—through my profession—to the well-being of children, and of supporting families as they develop new insights and tools to better handle daily challenges and strengthen their capacity to build healthier, more protective relationships."
