A huge thank you to the United Way for supporting Moving Mountains Ranch and to Dawna Walters Hardesty for partnering with us to make this outreach program for the residents of the Meadows Apartment Complex in Coshocton possible.
Our goal was simple. We wanted to bring the farm to families who may not have many opportunities to experience farm life, and it was such a rewarding week of camp. One of the most meaningful parts was watching parents who grew up on farms reconnect with those childhood memories as they shared the experience with their own children.
It's hard to say what the kids loved most, but we think our creek was a favorite. They spent so much time exploring, playing, and simply enjoying nature.
Seeing that excitement has us dreaming even bigger. We'd love to create a sensory nature trail with interactive sensory stations and a children's storybook along the path. We hope it becomes a peaceful place where children and families can slow down, connect with nature, and create lasting memories together.
