Hey stop95noise supporters. We are still waiting for Governor Lamont to release the DOTs proposal for noise abatement measures for the I95 project.

If it could wait, we would, but this project has deadlines which will continue to move forward regardless of the issues in Hartford. Hence we have crafted for your review which is on change.org (link below).

New studies have shown that noise stress can cause plaque buildup - leading to heart disease. This could be prevented with the help of the CT DOT and Governor Lamont.

Sound from cars, aircraft, trains, and other man-made machines is more than just annoying. It increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Hartford county has received 58% of CT’s noise barriers - while Hartford has 26% of the CT population. What about the other 74% of the population in CT?

What brought this issue to head is the CT DOT Project 0056-0316. This is a $205 million dollar rehabilitation project that will stretch from Exit 2 in Byram to Exit 6 in Stamford. This project is scheduled to begin in Fall 2022 and will last at least 4 years! Despite the obvious effect this project will have on the residents of our towns, CT DOT Project 0056-0316 has yet to consider any noise mitigation efforts.

Though our organization takes a strong stance against noise pollution of any form, our mission is to engage Connecticut’s Department of Transportation to use noise remediation whenever it undertakes significant highway rehabilitation projects.
