Harrison County Master Gardeners, Inc. We are trained volunteers who share a passion for gardening, education, and community service.

Through science-based horticulture knowledge, we help others grow plants, gardens, and community connections. The Harrison County Master Gardeners are volunteers trained through Purdue Extension to share research-based gardening knowledge with our community. From school gardens to public beautification, we support local projects that promote environmental stewardship, sustainable horticulture, and

We have started a new page, Harrison County Master Gardeners, and will probably be closing this page soon since we have been having problems with it. Please go to the new page and follow it for updates on events taking place with this organization. We will be promoting our Spring Workshop soon along with plant sales and other things.

Last week, the residents of Harrison Springs picked their very first tomatoes from the raised bed gardens and they were thrilled! These gardens, proudly sponsored by the Master Gardeners of Harrison County, are now full of life with colorful flowers and thriving vegetables.

Seeing the joy these gardens bring to the community is what itโ€™s all about. ๐Ÿ’š From planting to picking, itโ€™s been a beautiful journey!

Is It Time to Plant a Fall Garden?

Believe it or notโ€ฆ July is prime time to start planning for your fall harvest! ๐Ÿฅ•๐ŸŒฑ

In Harrison County, that means it's not too late to seed things like:

โœ… Carrots
โœ… Cucumbers
โœ… Fall squash
