Kiva Oregon is a partnership between Foundry Collective and Kiva, built for one reason: to get money into the hands of small business owners that conventional banks turn away.

We've helped move over $600,000 into rural Oregon businesses so far, at 0% interest, no collateral required, with a 91% repayment rate. Most of the people we've funded- 76 percent- got a no from a bank before they got a yes from their community.

That's who this is for. The person running numbers at their kitchen table, wondering if a loan is even possible without years of perfect credit history.

Thursday morning, we'll be at Fresh Start with coffee and open ears. Come ask questions, hear how the process actually works, or just find out if it fits what you're building.

Every third Thursday, downtown Corvallis opens up. Galleries, a tattoo studio, a folk school at Wade Hardware, a deli, all with doors open from 4 to 8 pm, free to walk through.

We asked Logan Bingle, who coordinates the Corvallis Foundry Gallery, what it's like to be a part of The Corvallis Arts Walk from the Inside. Our recent Substack article reveals what he sees in the monthly event.

If you are an artist, maker, or creative in Corvallis and you have been looking for your people, there is an event next Friday built exactly for that.

The CAW Meetup on August 7th brings together current and past Arts Walk participants, local craftspeople, and anyone curious about Corvallis's creative scene for an open mixer from 4 to 6pm at the Corvallis Foundry. This is a space for creative partnerships to get started and where people who have been working in the same city for years finally get to meet.

One of the ironies of the Corvallis Arts Walk is that the artists on it rarely get to see each other's work. Everyone is busy with their own stop, their own visitors, their own little corner of the evening. The meetup on August 7th is an attempt to fix that.

Come meet the people who make the walk what it is. Bring a business card, bring a question, bring nothing at all. 4 to 6 pm at the Corvallis Foundry, free and open to the public.

The Corvallis Arts Walk draws people through downtown every third Friday, but the artists behind it rarely get a chance to connect with each other outside of it. This Friday, that changes.
