Alt Prom is back! This is an important event for community and for so many young adults that we spoke to we know how meaningful having this event available was to them and so we’re hoping to continue on the tradition of offering an alternative prom events for LGBTQIA+ teens and their allies!

The World Health Organization has updated how it classifies being transgender, stating that it is not a mental illness. Instead, the term “gender incongruence” is used, and it is placed under sexual health conditions rather than mental disorders. This change reflects a shift in medical and scientific understanding of gender identity.

The reclassification was intended to reduce stigma while still allowing people access to healthcare and support.

2026 premature mood board. We are excited to announce that we have been named as one of the recipients of the fortitude fund Grant from the pride foundation! Their support will be crucial in our ongoing efforts to maintain our local annual pride festival additionally we have some exciting news coming down the pipeline about our endeavors to create a local community center and cultural kitchens more news on that to come but for now we are seeking a few social media and marketing interns if you’re interested please send a one page cover letter and your résumé to [email protected]. We are hoping to onboard 2 organized, charismatic, inclusive, folks, preferably with lived experience and a passion for social media, content creation snd/or graphic design.
