Recently, Vina team members Maura and Erica attended the 2026 Beaver Community Fair on OSU’s campus and asked students a simple question: “What does community look like to you?” Their answers were the best!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to share their perspective and remind us of all the different ways community can show up in our lives.

Earlier this year, we received a $2,000 Neighborhood Grant from the Starbucks Foundation through the Timberhill Starbucks, and we wanted to take a moment to say how grateful we are for all the support their manager, Chris, and the Timberhill team gave Vina Moses over the years.

Before the store closed last fall, Chris shared this with us in an email: “I count working with you and your organization as one of, if not the best thing, I did as the manager here for the last 7 years.”

It takes a lot of moving parts to make Vina Moses run, and community partners like Timberhill Starbucks are something we’ll never take for granted. We miss you!

Meet sweet Clara! This summer, she set up a lemonade stand and donated all $32 of her earnings to Vina Moses Center. Kindness like this is a wonderful reminder that *anyone* can help and make a big impact! Thank you, Clara, for thinking of Vina and our community!

The Vina team took a much-needed “Superfun Fun Day” this month. We set aside a whole day to relax, connect, get creative, and, most importantly, have some fun together.

Our day was made possible thanks to funds from The Marie Lamfrom Charitable Foundation floats found in Lincoln City this summer. And we definitely put them to good use! Thank you to Gathering Together Farm, No Regrets Flower Farm & Animal Sanctuary, CeramiCafe Art Lounge, and Squirrels for having us.

We love moments like this! These are the results of a Southtown Neighbor to Neighbor food drive organized by college students Oliver and Raine.

And Oliver did it all with a sprained foot! That’s why you’ll spot him sorting donations from a rolly chair. We love the dedication and commitment to making a difference in our community!

Thank you, Oliver and Raine, for rallying your neighbors and helping stock our shelves! 🥫❤️

Today is International Day of Charity and it stands as a beautiful reminder that generosity takes many forms. A donation, a volunteer shift, supplies for programs, or simply sharing the word about the resources available at Vina Moses Center... all of it matters.

We are so grateful for the people who continue to show up and help make sure our neighbors have access to the things they need. Charity isn’t just about what we give, it’s about what we make possible together! Thank you all for making Vina Moses Center happen!

We are SO happy to share that our community nearly doubled the $10,000 August match! Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing up for Vina Moses Center in such a BIG way. Your generosity means so much and helps us continue providing the resources and support our community needs.

And a huge thank you to the incredibly generous donor who made this match possible in the first place. Your gift inspired others to give and helped make this incredible response possible!
