Aslihan grew up in Türkiye surrounded by olive trees. Olive oil wasn't just a product in her family. It was made with patience, care, and pride.

Now she's running that same family olive oil business from Clackamas. Every bottle reflects her family's tradition and respect for the land. It keeps her connected to her roots while building something honest here in Oregon.

The challenge is timing. Balancing inventory purchases with daily operating costs while demand grows. Right now she's working shipment to shipment, which makes it nearly impossible to plan ahead.

She's asking for $13,500 to secure enough inventory to sustain the business throughout the year and start the season on stable footing. She has 6 days left in private fundraising, 25 out of 30 lenders in, and $12,225 to go before this loan goes live to the full Kiva community.

CO.STARTERS Core is a 10-week cohort in Corvallis that helps you turn ideas into something real. It's hands-on, customer-focused, and built around figuring out what actually works before you waste time or money.

You'll understand your working style, craft messaging that conveys value, figure out startup costs and break-even points, and learn how to scale without overextending. Plus you get a cohort of peers going through the same thing, mentors who've done it, and ongoing support after the program ends.

Tina's been in customer service her whole working life. Started as a roller-skating carhop, moved into floral design, spent 22 years in insurance. Now she's building something different.
When her son Jake was diagnosed with autism, she didn't know what his future would hold. Would he work? Drive? Have independence? She spent years wondering. Then she noticed something: Jake loves frozen yogurt and treats. And their small rural community already knows him, already loves him.
So she's turning that into a business he can learn to run. A mobile frozen yogurt setup where she can teach him social cues, customer communication, and confidence while he's still in high school. He's 15 now, hands-on with the whole thing, and people in Hines are already excited.
Tina's got the soft-serve machines. She's got transport equipment. What she needs now is a used enclosed trailer, utilities installed, sinks that meet food safety regs. And product to get them through their first events. $10,000 total. She's 27% funded with 34 days left.
