➡️ Coffee & Kiva Q&A — Burns, Oregon

Thursday, April 27th | 8:00–9:30 AM
📍 Fresh Start, 195 N Broadway Ave

Kiva Oregon is a partnership between Foundry Collective and Kiva, built for one reason: to get money into the hands of small business owners that conventional banks turn away.

We've helped move over $600,000 into rural Oregon businesses so far, at 0% interest, no collateral required, with a 91% repayment rate. Most of the people we've funded- 76 percent- got a no from a bank before they got a yes from their community.

That's who this is for. The person running numbers at their kitchen table, wondering if a loan is even possible without years of perfect credit history.

Thursday morning, we'll be at Fresh Start with coffee and open ears. Come ask questions, hear how the process actually works, or just find out if it fits what you're building.

✅ No application required to show up.

So happy to have helped our first Native American get a KIVA loan, through Kiva Oregon Congrats Keith with a 6x match. https://www.kiva.org/lend/3198672 in 24 hours. This is such a great job.

Kiva is a loan, not a donation. With Kiva you can lend as little as $25 and make a big change in someone's life.

We just launched a campaign to keep up the pace.

✔️ $600,000+ deployed across rural Oregon.
✔️ 91% repayment rate.
✔️ 65% women-owned businesses.

➡️ Demand is outpacing our funding, and we are raising $15,000 to keep the infrastructure running that makes loans like Liz's possible, the coaching, the application review, the trustee work that gets people funded when the system wasn't built for them.

Give at any level. Share this with someone who cares about rural Oregon. 💚

If you've been running your business mostly on gut instinct and sheer willpower, you're not alone, and there's a point where that stops being enough.

CO.STARTERS Bootcamp is two days of actually working through the business hurdles that tend to pile up when you're busy just keeping things going. It’s in person, and well worth your time (and did I mention it’s FREE?).

Here's what you'll walk away with:

✅ A clearer picture of your business idea and model

✅ A better understanding of your customers and how to reach them

✅ Marketing strategies and financial basics that actually make sense

✅ Concrete next steps and goals you can act on

✅ A room full of other entrepreneurs to problem-solve with (former students have told us again and again the community they find is well worth their time in itself).

May 29–30 in St. Helens, Oregon hosted by Columbia Business Alliance, Foundry Collective, and Business Oregon.

Space is limited, pre-register here and someone will follow up to get you fully enrolled: https://startupspace.app/detail-normal-events/69904
