Welcome to our social page! We are the Oregon Section of the Institute of Food Scientists, or OSIFT. OSIFT is a consortium of professionals in the food industry, representing the Oregon area. Our members are part of government, public and private industry, acadamia, and any other roles that you find that interact with food. OSIFT welcomes and celebrates all the diverse ideas and strengths of our m

embers and community. We have this space open for the connection of our members and others who may benefit from the interaction. Section benefits include monthly technical meetings and updates highlighting upcoming activities and events, an annual Food Ingredient Expo/Supplier's Night (FIX), organized fundraisers designed to support students in the food science discipline, employment services, networking opportunities and much, much more! All are welcome to like our page and gain access to section happenings, discussions and community events. We hope to see you at an OSIFT meeting! OSIFT Social Admin Rules
1. No profanity, derogatory language, hate speech, po*******hy, or bullying. We are a professional, non-profit organization. This space is for food industry connection.
2. Please no religious or political dialogue, unless it is directly related to a topic of food. Please refrain from posting opinion related responses with respect to these topics.
3. Please keep post commentary on topic. If you’ve found a post that has turned into an exciting divergent discussion, try to connect one on one with those relevant to your new conversation.
4. Please limit posting more than one sales related post per quarter. While we encourage connection in the food community and understand that this space is also an avenue for vendor customer relationships, this helps decrease the clutter on our page and maintain an open space for all to interact. Spam postings are not allowed. Posts or interactions that are found to be in violation of these rules will be removed by moderators and may result in temporary or permanent expulsion from the group.
