Greetings everyone, and Happy New Year to you.

Sadly, we have recently received word from our Uganda Team that our school was broken into and several things were stolen.

We are getting ready for classes to begin in less than a month, and we lost some critical equipment that we will need to open our doors. Several computers were stolen, as well as all of our video editing equipment and our camera. The total needed to replace these items is between $4000 - $5000.

We are repairing the area where the break-in occurred and securing it so it can't happen again. Our security cameras were working at the time, but there was no alarm in place. We are also hiring a night watchman.

Thankfully, no one was injured during this event; we know that things are replaceable, but it is still disappointing. Thank you for considering helping us with gifts to replace this essential ewuipment!

Thank you all again for supporting our Ugandan team and providing a hope and a future for our students!❤️ 🇺🇬 ❤️

Another graduation! Praise the Lord 🙌🇺🇬❤️

WE COULD USE YOUR HELP!

We are heading to Uganda next week, which gives us the opportunity to take our students to outlying villages and do an outreach. We distribute clothing, (the students donate the dresses they made throughout the year), soap, rice, beans, and toys. We want to teach our students that they were blessed to be a blessing. Could you look at this list and consider helping in some way? If you are unable to purchase the items, a financial donation for "outreach 2025" would gladly be accepted.

1. Gently used clothes for children, youth, men and women (Women wear more skirts/tops and dresses than pants, boys and men LOVE sports jerseys.)
2. Medicine: Acetaminophen, Ibuprofen, cold and flu medicine for adults and children
3. Bandaids and Neosporin
4. Reading books for 3-10 year olds
5. Stuffed animals and soft baby dolls
6. Sewing material (2 yards or more, bright)
7. Used smart phones - our director desperately needs an upgrade and they are very expensive to buy in Uganda

If you or anyone you know could contribute, feel free to contact us and we'll figure out a way to get those items from you. Thank you!

29TH OF THE MOON OF FALL, 2025.
OPEN DOOR BIBLE AND SKILLS TEACHING PLACE.
REGARDING: A STORY OF OUR TEACHINGS FOR THE YEAR 2025.
In the year when leaves turn, 2023, we began Open Door where hands learn many gifts. From the weaving of hair, students dance with styles, braids bright in the sun. In cloth making, they craft garments, from flowing dresses to sturdy trousers. Our mechanics, they know the heart of machines, fixing troubles when engines falter. In the circle of worship, our students, they find strength in sharing the sacred words. Sweetness from ovens, students create cakes and bread, pizzas warm and cookies to share.
We gather young spirits, ages 15 to 35, some have walked a hard path, others desire to finish their journeys of learning. Knowledge and skill, like arrows, help them aim at better lives, to gather means for their needs.
In 2025, as the Creator provides, more paths opened; two new skills—bakery and mechanics—now we teach four gifts. We begin a new sound, a recording class with one seeker, dreaming of five come next year. This year, our home welcomed wanderers from distant lands—both girls and boys find shelter here.
Through seasons of learning, tests and tasks like feathers fall, showing what they have caught. They journey with challenges to enhance their spirits, even in the sacred time of rest.
This marks the third cycle of learning at Open Door. We shall gather in gratitude on the 15th of the month of changing colors to honor our graduates.
We offer thanks to the Jesus for all blessings and to those who walk with us—the board and all who lend their hands. May the Holy Spirit shine upon you.
WITH SINCERE HEART,
ESTHER GRACE ,
LEADER OF OPEN DOOR.
