Jaymie is a BioHealth Sciences Major in the Pre-Med option. She also completed a minor in chemistry. Throughout her three years in SDO she served as our Community outreach officer and our Treasurer! Something she enjoyed about her time in SDO was “I’ve enjoyed the opportunity to grow and learn as an individual because of the decision made to become a member of SDO. Not only has SDO provided me with lots of support and care from my sisters, but it has also introduced me to amazing volunteer opportunities, leadership positions, organizations, and further involvement in the campus community. I’ve made unforgettable memories with my best friends which is something that I am forever grateful for because of SDO!”

Caitlin is a BioHealth Sciences Major in the premed option, also completing a minor in chemistry. Throughout her four years in SDO she served as our Academic outreach officer and our Secretary. Something advise she has for current and new members is “Take the time to get to know your sisters! You will grow so much from knowing all these wonderful people!”

Ana is a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Major in the pre-med option. She also completed minors in Psychology and Medical Humanities! Ana has been a part of SDO for four years and she served as our Academic Outreach officer this past year. Something she enjoyed most about her time in SDO was “Finding such a strong and supportive community from my first week at OSU, where I’ve been surrounded by sisters who are incredibly ambitious, caring, passionate, fun, and committed to their goals and to each other. Also having countless opportunities to mentor younger girls interested in STEM through our academic outreach events!”

We will miss you all so much! We can’t wait to see where you go next.

Future Phoenix Friday🐦‍🔥

Kaylene is a Kinesiology major with the PTAH Option also completing a minor in chemistry and the medical humanities certificate! She has been in SDO for two years and what she enjoyed most during her time was “the sense of belonging and the relationships I built. Being surrounded by strong, intelligent women who are passionate about science and also care for one another made such a difference in my college experience. SDO gave me a space to grow academically, professionally, and personally, and I’m so grateful for the memories and friendships that will last far beyond college.”

Nalla is a Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation major! She has been in the sorority for 3 years and some advise she has for current and future members is “I have been in the sorority for three years and one piece of advise I would give for my sisters is to mingle around and meet new people! Its totally ok to have your people that you are comfortable with and are your safe space but dont be afraid to get to know others, they are also feeling shy and nervous too!! You never know what kind of friendships youll make within SDO.”

We will miss you both so much! Can’t wait to see where you go next!
