Big thanks to Tanya Bell for leading a fantastic watercolor workshop for International Moms Group! 🎨

Tanya encouraged us to make any “mistakes” part of our paintings, to not compare with others, and to have fun creating something beautiful. Who knew that watercoloring could have such deep life lessons for motherhood?

Each watercolor painting ended up as unique and beautiful as each woman in the room! ♥️

Do you watercolor or watercolour? 🎨 Either way, come paint with us this coming Tuesday, Aug 18 from 7:30-9:00pm at Orchard Court Community Center! ⭐️

Tanya Bell with Bluebird and Pine Studio Tanya Bell - Blue Bird & Pine Studio will give us a short tutorial about watercolors, and we’ll have time to create!

This fun evening is open to anyone involved in International Moms Group, whether you are an experienced artist or are brand new. So come even if you don’t feel like you’re “an artist.” We won’t have childcare available, so please prepare a loved one to take care of your kiddos. Thank you for understanding!

Summer can be a lonely time, so let’s get some face to face time, relax, and create something beautiful.

Come join us blueberry picking! 🫐 This Weds, July 29th International Moms Group is going blueberry picking from 9-10:30am at Blueberry Meadows , located at 3860 NE Highway 20 in Corvallis.

We have a couple dozen coupons good for 1 pound U-Pick blueberries for any of your kiddos under 18 who come pick with you that morning, thanks to Blueberry Meadows and the Corvallis Benton County Public Library!! 💙 It’s first come first serve - so please connect with Rachael Johnson or Sandy Goeke that morning at the farm to get your coupon.

U-Pick berries are $3.50 a pound. Usually that means paying maybe $20-$30 for a good haul of berries, filling up a bucket.

Here’s what to bring Berry picking:
✅ Dress for the weather - sun hats and long sleeves or sunscreen are often helpful
✅ Practical shoes for walking on the farm. Leave your heels at home for a cute photo shoot later
✅ Containers to bring your berries home in. The farm will have buckets you can borrow while picking.
✅ Cash if preferable, since it’s a small farm, but credit cards, debit cards, and Farm Direct Dollars are accepted too.
✅ Your family! Friends welcome too
✅ An adventurous attitude. This is a core Pacific Northwest cultural experience

It’s hard to believe, but this week will be our last weekly meeting. We are going to have a wonderful year end celebration to celebrate the friendships we’ve formed and to say goodbye to the friends who are returning home or moving away✈️✈️

🎉 Additionally, we’re going to have a 💕💕We will celebrate 4 expecting moms this week—we’ll “shower” them with gifts and encouragement—to help them prepare for the arrival of their new baby.

Come join us tonight, Thursday, May 28, from 6:00-8:00pm at the Orchard Court Community Center for an IMG joint potluck! This will be a special evening to reflect, connect, and enjoy a delicious dinner together.

We’ll gather together with 4 different conversation partner programs in town— IMG Moms Crossing International Borders Program, OIS International Friendship Program, INTO Cultural Ambassador Conversant Program, and the Corvallis Multicultural Literacy Center - to celebrate the beautiful friendships formed through our group and this year’s conversation partner programs.

What a wonderful presentation we had about Turkiye culture! We learned so much about their rich traditions, delicious food, craft, and beautiful clothing. It was heartwarming to see the moms from Turkiye sharing their culture with so much love and enthusiasm.
Everyone truly enjoyed listening to their stories and experiences. The homemade baklava was absolutely delicious, and the Turkish tea added such a special touch to the experience. It was a joyful and memorable time filled with warmth, love, and cultural connection.
