Corunna VFW Post 4005 & Auxiliary

Corunna VFW Post 4005 & Auxiliary Honoring our Veterans The post was chartered on March 11, 1945 and the Auxiliary followed on May 17, 1945.

The city sold the post their old water works building and over the years the Veterans have upgraded it into what you see today. In 1975, the post received a 1941 fire truck that was used in parades for years until now and it has a home in the post barn because it just make it threw a parade without breaking down. In 2005, Irene Hosking became the first female commander and at the age of 106 she we

nt to her reward in August of 2024. An M-1 tank from Camp Grayling was dedicated in November of 1998.

Due to the freezing cold and blustery weather we are having, Corunna VFW 4005 is cancelling Bingo for tonight and Fish Fry for tomorrow night. We hope to be back at it for next week. Everyone please stay safe out there, and try to stay warm. Also, please check on the elderly. Please share this message so we can reach as many as possible.
