Corunna VFW Post 4005 & Auxiliary Honoring our Veterans The post was chartered on March 11, 1945 and the Auxiliary followed on May 17, 1945.

The city sold the post their old water works building and over the years the Veterans have upgraded it into what you see today. In 1975, the post received a 1941 fire truck that was used in parades for years until now and it has a home in the post barn because it just make it threw a parade without breaking down. In 2005, Irene Hosking became the first female commander and at the age of 106 she went to her reward in August of 2024. An M-1 tank from Camp Grayling was dedicated in November of 1998.

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸VFW NEWS🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

2026 Shiawassee County Fair is now completed. We wanted to shout out a huge thank you to all our volunteers that help us out all week in the bingo tent. To our faithful members that work tirelessly day in and out we appreciate you. To the set up and take down crews that do all the tables, chairs and equipment we thank you. A huge shout out to Gilbert’s of Owosso for supplying us with two refrigerators to keep our pop and food cold. To the Jason Zsigo family for once again allowing us use of their trailer to do our business in. It takes a village to make it all happen and we appreciate one and all. Lastly, we thank all the players for coming out and supporting our veterans. With your help we can continue to support our local veterans with any needs they may have. Fish fry’s will be starting up in September. You can follow our VFW page for news on that topic. As always, bingo continues at the post on Thursday evenings. If anyone has any free time to donate please reach out as we are always in need. We look forward to seeing familiar faces at these events. Once again a huge thank you to all. GOD BLESS THE USA!!!!
