Last night I was in a zoom meeting with USA Archery about the new grant program. USA archery is doing away with the rebate program and is going to a "Grant" format as I brought up at the annual meeting this summer. This new format will begin for us on or after 4/26/26 if we renew with USA archery. USA archery currently collects the dues that NYSAA used to collect. USA archery would then give us back portion of that money in the form of a rebate. It was the states money that USA archery now gets. The money that we have saved up for buying equipment in the near future will be wiped out in approximately 4 years. This is unacceptable. I am asking all of our members to contact USA archery and let them know that this new grant based program will not work. We will have to budget our money at the beginning of the year and apply for a grant and hope that it gets accepted. The grant will not cover the costs that we now give our sites for hosting an indoor invent. So once again I am asking our members to contact USA archery and tell them this new agreement will not work.
