Southwest Intertribal Voice

Southwest Intertribal Voice Southwest Intertribal Voice is an organization dedicated to providing a voice to the Native Peoples of the Four Corners area. We have a 24 ft.

For centuries, Indigenous religions and ways of spirituality have been oppressed and targeted to be extinguished by churches of the European immigrants. Until recently, our religions and ceremonials were legally banned by the US Government. These enormous disruptions to the pillars of our society caused immeasurable upheaval throughout our communities. Many Indigenous families have lost elders and

other wisdom carriers due to the constant oppression and suppression of our ceremonial ways. Gone are many of the familial gathering places where ceremonials were held for prayers, healing and celebration. One of our programs is our Indigenous Spiritual Revival Project. We have dedicated a portion of our property to the restoration of our Indigenous spirituality and medicine ways. Our ceremonial grounds presently includes a hogan, a tipi ground and a shade house for community use. tipi and poles for use on the grounds. We work to facilitate ceremonials for those who do not have the traditional family support. Our traditional prayers and ceremonials are the base and roots of our language and culture, they need to go hand in hand. Use of the grounds for prayers and ceremonials requires a donation of your choice. Sometimes all one can offer is to***co. Others may offer other donations, depending on their ability. Our Board of Directors is currently considering fees for non-ceremonial usage of the grounds.
