I haven't seen much on this topic recently but I think it's relevant.

I am in a cycle and it is well controlled by low-dose Verapamil and nerve blocks.

On Saturday I attended a family wedding out of town. On Wednesday I woke up feeling like crap and it got worse throughout the day. On Thursday, I tested positive for COVID and spent much of the day sleeping. Today, Friday, I feel noticeably better.

No CH attacks. :-)

I have taken three vaccinations, two early on and then the bivalent.

Dear friends,

Please don't be discouraged by all the "migraine, migraine" talk this month. Simply remind them that it is Migraine and HEADACHE Awareness Month. This year's them is "Educate Yourself. Educate Others." We'll, CHSG members already have this down to an art form. So let's educate them!

Don't forget that it's also LGBTQIA+ Pride Month! Members of the q***r community are marginalized when it comes to health care, especially headache and migraine. Fear and trauma from past medical experiences can keep us from seeking help. Allies, please show your q***r friends some 💜💙💚❤️🧡💛 this month. Fellow q***r folks, please know that CHSG will always be a SAFE SPACE where you are loved and treated like family.

In a new article by the Migraine Science Collaborative, Lincoln Tracy Talks to Dr. Emmanuelle Schindler about her new research on psilocybin and cluster headache.

“Despite not reaching a significant p-value, I was pleased to see an approximately 30% reduction in cluster attack frequency. When you dig deeper into the data, it wasn’t simply a 30% reduction across the board, but rather, some patients in the study responded while others did not. Those who were psilocybin responders had about a 75% reduction in cluster attack frequency. Just like any medicine out there for cluster headache, migraine, or any other headache disorder, nothing is going to work for everyone.”
