Calling All Visionaries & Hearts for Service! 🕊️

As Fishers of Men continues to grow, I’ve realized that to reach more people and share more love, I can no longer do this alone. I am looking for a few dedicated partners to join me in taking our nonprofit to the next level.

I am looking for individuals gifted in:

• Networking & Sales: To build bridges with local business leaders.

• Administrative Work: To help organize our growing reach.

• Proposal Writing: To create compelling ideas that inspire businesses to partner with us.

The Goal: We aren’t just looking for grants; we are looking to build long-term donations and partnerships with local businesses that want to give back to our community through simple acts of kindness and hot meals.

Please Note: Currently, these are volunteer-led roles. I cannot offer a salary today, but I am moving forward in faith, believing that God will provide for this mission as He always has.

If you have a heart for the homeless and less fortunate, and you want to use your professional skills for a higher purpose, please reach out.

📣 An Update from FOM Fishers of Men!

First, we want to offer our sincere apologies for the lack of recent updates! Things have been busy since the successful Back to School Rally, and we've been heads-down serving our community.

We are so incredibly grateful for the continued support!

Recap and Impact:

* September Feeding Success: On the 27th, we held our latest feeding event. We are so proud to share that with the dedication of only 9 volunteers, we were able to serve 75 people! This is a powerful testament to what a small, committed team can achieve through the love of Christ.

* Time & Location: We will meet at 9:00 AM at Harmony Christian Ministries in Corsicana to prepare and deliver meals.

Moving Forward Together

The overwhelming support we’ve received inspires us to continue and expand our efforts.

We are actively planning more community events in the future and want to hear from you!
We believe that "People don't know what they don't know," and together, we can all learn and grow in kindness and compassion.

Our first of the month feeding continues this Saturday! August 2nd, 2025!

We meet at Harmony Christian Ministries at 9 AM!!!!!

Please be there! We are expected to make and deliver over 100 plates!!!!

This has grown so much and it’s thanks to God and our amazing supporters and volunteers!

We started last year in March 2024 feeding 30 people!!!

Now we’re reaching over 100 and plan to do more than just once a month feedings!!!

To God be the glory because NONE OF THIS HAS BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT HIM!

Fishers of Men is partnering with YU Belong Ministries to provide a warm meal for our neighbors in need. We believe in the power of community and service.

Join us to help prepare and distribute meals. Your support, whether through volunteering or simply spreading the word, is invaluable.

We're reflecting on an impactful day yesterday, where we provided around 50 plates of food and nourished over 37 individuals facing homelessness. Every plate delivered is a testament to the power of our community.

The upcoming weather changes are a serious concern. For those living on the streets, even moderate shifts in temperature can be life-threatening. Beyond the immediate dangers of exposure, individuals experiencing homelessness often face chronic health conditions, lack of access to basic hygiene, and constant threats to their personal safety. They are often isolated, struggling with mental health challenges, and battling stigmas that make it harder to seek help.

This underscores the critical need for safe havens – places where people can find refuge from the harsh realities of street life. Spaces to rest without fear, recover from illness, reset their minds, and begin to restore their sense of self and purpose. These places offer a pathway out of the cycle of homelessness.

While one of us can certainly brighten a day, the collective efforts of many can truly transform lives. Let's answer the call to be "Fishers of Men," extending our hands and hearts to our vulnerable neighbors.

Join Us for Our Monthly Feeding Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, the first Saturday of the month, Fishers of Men will be out in Navarro County providing meals and spreading warmth to our community.

We invite anyone interested in volunteering their time or those who would like to receive a nourishing meal to join us at Harmony Christian Ministries at 11 AM.

For our friends without a home, please know we want to reach you. Simply text or call Sam Faith at (214) 766-6002 with your address or location, and we will personally bring a plate to you.

We are deeply thankful for the unwavering commitment of every individual who makes this ministry possible. While we don't often share widely, our purpose is singular: to embody the love and servitude that Christ teaches us. Your support helps us continue this vital work.
