We performed a scheduled CRP Burn lastnight, weather conditions were perfect for it. But it is very very dry out there. We do not recommend the general public to burn at this time, we had a side by side 2 grass trucks and 1 6x6 Tanker with remote spray nozzle working this controlled burn safely. Also had our 2 Engines standing by staged on scene with water support. If you have areas you want burned please contact us and we will help. performing subscribed burns is good for the set aside land and when monitored and planned out can be very successful. Let us know if we can help. We are here to serve the citizens and protect personal property.

A message from Woodbury County. Please do not burn!

On Friday November 3rd there will be a fire hydrant at 9th and Elm Street, that is going to be replaced. For customers north of Sioux Ave clear to 13th Street there is a possibility of water being shut off. Until the hydrant is exposed, we are uncertain if we need to open hydrants to slow the flow or shut water completely off. They plan to start at 10:00 a.m. and be done by late afternoon. We are calling customers, but please pass the word along. If you have questions, please call City Hall at 712-372-4791. Thank you.

Correctionville Fire Department will be hosting its annual Pancake Breakfast to support the Fireworks display. Breakfast will me March 18th at city hall 312 Driftwood Street from 730am- 1100am. All donations will go for the Firework Display for 4th of July Celebration.
