Southwest Animal Rescue Fund, Inc. - SWARF 100% of cash donations and 100% of our thrift store profits are used for medical expenses, food, supplies and services for the animals.

A New Mexico non-profit corporation and federal 501(c)(3) that funds its animal rescue mission through its unique thrift store, Secondhand Treasures in the Village of Corrales. We also collect clean blankets, towels, comforters, pet beds, new and used crates, puppy pens, baby gates etc. and distribute them to our associated rescue groups (we cannot accept open or expired packages of pet food). The

greatest need is for foster families! Foster care is the most crucial and the scarcest component of the canine and feline rescue effort. Without foster homes many animals go un-rescued. For dogs and cats in municipal animal control facilities and some private shelters, this often means death. We can refer you to a group that will explain their foster program to you.

RezDawg Rescue, Inc needs volunteer muscle to help with the breakdown of their upcoming spay/neuter clinic in Belen. By Sunday afternoon the team is so tired that breaking down the Clinic is miserable. Can some able-bodied people help them out Sunday July 19th from 2pm to 7pm?

Please keep your eyes out for a Corrales Road property for sale in the neighborhood-commercial zone (Old Church to Meadowlark) that we can buy now for the future expansion of our thrift store, Secondhand Treasures. We need at least 1/2 acre with or without an existing structure. We're not going anywhere just yet but our lease is up in September 2029 and we want to be sure we have a place to go (and stay) if that isn't renewed.
