At The Lice Project Foundation, we believe no child should ever feel ashamed, embarrassed, bullied, or left behind because of head lice. And no parent should ever have to choose between putting food on the table and getting their child the treatment they deserve.

Our mission comes straight from our hearts. ❤️

We are dedicated to providing free professional head lice treatments, education, and support to underserved children and families throughout Texas.

Because this has never been just about removing lice.

It’s about the little girl who gets bullied at school. The little boy who is embarrassed to sit next to his classmates. The mother who cries because she cannot afford treatment. The families who feel helpless and have nowhere else to turn.

We want every child and every family to know they are seen, loved, valued, and never alone.

Our children’s book, “Got Lice? Be Nice!”, is now available for just $14.99!

This book was created with so much love and purpose. It teaches children about head lice in a fun, educational, and compassionate way while spreading one very important message: Kindness matters, and having head lice is never a reason to bully or shame someone.

💕 Proceeds from every book sold will benefit The Lice Project Foundation, helping us continue our mission of reaching children and families in need.

We had a wonderful board meeting today, and our hearts are overflowing with excitement for what is ahead!

Our board is working behind the scenes on something incredibly special, including a HUGE EVENT planned for February! 🎀

We cannot wait to share what we have been planning with our community. We have big dreams for this foundation, and every single one of them begins with helping children.

✨ A HUGE DAY FOR THE LICE PROJECT FOUNDATION! ✨

Today, we are incredibly honored to meet with the Port of Corpus Christi as they support a mission that means so much to us.

The Port of Corpus Christi has committed $50,000 to The Lice Project Foundation because they believe in our vision, our mission, and the impact we are working to make for children and families across our communities. ❤️

Today, we were presented with the first $25,000 check, with the remaining $25,000 committed for 2027!

These funds will go toward one of our biggest goals yet: THE LICE PROJECT MOBILE CLINIC. 🚐✨

Our vision is to purchase a Mercedes Sprinter van and transform it into a fully equipped mobile lice clinic. This will allow us to reach children and families who may not have reliable transportation or simply cannot afford professional lice treatment.

But this mobile clinic will be about so much more than treatment.

We plan to travel to schools and communities throughout Texas providing education, helping families understand head lice, and reading our children’s book, “Got Lice? Be Nice!” 📚

Our mission is to break the stigma, stop the bullying, educate our communities, and remind children everywhere that head lice can happen to ANYONE.

Got Lice? Be Nice! was created to teach children something I wish every child understood: having head lice is nothing to be ashamed of, and no child should ever be bullied or embarrassed because of it.

As someone who has spent years working hands-on with thousands of families dealing with head lice, I’ve seen the fear, embarrassment, tears, and bullying that can come with a diagnosis. I wanted to turn those experiences into something positive—something parents, teachers, school nurses, and daycare providers could use to start an important conversation with children.

I’m so proud to introduce a children’s book that is incredibly dear to my heart: “Got Lice? Be Nice!” 🎀

After years of hands-on experience helping families, treating children, educating our community, and spreading lice awareness, I knew there was a bigger message I wanted to share with children and parents everywhere.

Got Lice? Be Nice! is about so much more than head lice. It’s about kindness, bullying, education, compassion, and teaching our children that having lice is NEVER something to be ashamed of or made fun of for.

What makes this book even more special to me is that it’s personal. ❤️ It was inspired by my own journey, my clinic, my children, my granddaughter, and the thousands of families who have trusted The Lice Angels over the years.

You know what’s so heartbreaking?

It’s back-to-school season, and so many families are struggling with head lice but simply can’t afford treatment.

That’s exactly why we created The Lice Project Foundation to help children and families in our community when they have nowhere else to turn.

What saddens me is that we’ve reached out to local news stations for months hoping they would help spread the word, but our story has never been shared. Because of that, many families in Corpus Christi who need these services don’t even know we exist.

We’re not asking for recognition. We’re asking for awareness. Every parent deserves to know there is help available, and no child should have to suffer, miss school, or be embarrassed because their family can’t afford treatment.

The Lice Project FOUNDATION is offering FREE Head Checks to help families start the school year with confidence.

If your child is found to have head lice and your family needs financial assistance, you can pick up an application at:

Applications are available to families who qualify for assistance. Please note: To be eligible for Foundation assistance, you cannot have Driscoll Health Plan Medicaid, as those patients may qualify for treatment through their medical provider with the appropriate referral.

Our mission is to make sure no child misses school because of head lice or because their family cannot afford treatment. ❤️
