At The Lice Project FOUNDATION, our mission is not to compete with medical facilities or healthcare providers. Our goal is to help fill the gap for families in South Texas who may not have Medicaid, insurance coverage, or the financial ability to afford lice treatment services.

For over a decade through The Lice AngelsπŸŽ€, we have seen firsthand how many children miss school, get bullied, and struggle emotionally because families simply cannot afford treatment. This nonprofit was created to help support those underserved families with compassion, education, and care.

We proudly support and encourage families with Medicaid coverage, including DRISCOLL HEALTH PLAN Medicaid, to continue utilizing their medical benefits and referral pathways through their healthcare providers. 🀍

Together, through community partnerships, education, and support, we can make a difference in the lives of children and families across South Texas.

PLEASE HELP US WELCOME KELLIE RAMOS

We are proud to officially introduce Kellie Ramos as part of The Lice Project FOUNDATION team as our Director of Community Outreach & Marketing 🀍

With a background in marketing and business development, Kellie brings valuable knowledge, creativity, and passion to our organization. Her heart for helping others and dedication to community impact make her a beautiful addition to this mission.

Kellie will be helping lead outreach initiatives, awareness campaigns, partnerships, fundraising efforts, and community engagement as we continue expanding the very first lice removal nonprofit organization for children in the state of Texas.

I would personally love to invite all of my friends, family, community leaders, and supporters to this very special and memorable ribbon-cutting ceremony for The Lice Project FOUNDATION. 🀍

For over a decade, I have proudly owned and operated The Lice Angels , treating thousands of families across South Texas. Throughout the years, I have provided countless treatments completely free out of my own pocket because I have seen firsthand the heartbreaking impact lice can have on children and families.

Many people do not realize how serious this issue truly is. Children are being bullied, struggling with low self-esteem, dealing with emotional and mental health challenges, missing school out of embarrassment, and in severe cases, even being hospitalized due to untreated lice infestations because their families simply could not afford help.

This mission is so much bigger than lice removal.

It is about restoring confidence, dignity, education, and hope to children and families in our communities. It is about breaking the stigma that has existed for generations and educating families with compassion instead of judgment.

The Lice Project FOUNDATION is something truly unique and life-changing for South Texas, and we are honored to be launching the very first lice removal nonprofit organization for children in the state of Texas.

Please come celebrate this special moment with us. Your support, presence, and belief in this mission mean more than words can express. 🀍

Although many of you may know me as the owner of The Lice AngelsπŸŽ€, I am so excited to officially announce that we are expanding into a nonprofit organization called The Lice Project FOUNDATION.

For over a decade now, I have dedicated my life to helping families in our community. In many cases, I provided treatments at no cost because I saw firsthand how needed this service truly is especially for underserved families who simply cannot afford treatment.

Head lice is more than just a nuisance. It affects children emotionally, mentally, socially, and educationally. Many children miss school, get bullied, and families struggle in silence because they do not have access to affordable care. That is exactly why The Lice Project FOUNDATION was created to make a difference and bring hope, education, and treatment to families in need throughout South Texas.

We do have an application process for families interested in receiving assistance. If you would like to apply, please reach out to us for more information.

🚨 PSA: If you have DRISCOLL HEALTH PLAN Medicaid, you will not qualify for this nonprofit service because The Lice Angels already has a contract with DRISCOLL HEALTH PLAN Medicaid. Patients with Driscoll Medicaid must obtain a doctor referral from their P*P for treatment services.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this vision. We are just getting started, and together we are going to change lives in our community. 🀍KRIS 6 News Mission Of Mercy - Texas The Lice Angels Amistad Community Health Center VolunTexas Volunteer Program Miranda McMahon

We are incredibly excited to announce that now has our official donation link up and running. πŸ’•

Our mission is to open our very first brick-and-mortar nonprofit clinic dedicated to helping children and families in our community who truly cannot afford lice removal services. With summer approaching, we are working hard to get our location fully up and running so we can begin serving South Texas families in need.

No child should have to return to school feeling embarrassed, ashamed, distracted, or bullied because of lice. Children deserve to focus on their education, their confidence, and simply being kids. Education, dignity, and community support are at the heart of everything we do.

Every single dollar makes a difference and helps us move one step closer to changing lives right here in South Texas. If you have it in your heart to donate, we would be so grateful for your support.

We are proud to officially welcome Dr. James Cantu, MD as Medical Board Advisor for The Lice Project Foundation

As our organization continues to grow, it is crucial that we build a strong foundation rooted in education, professionalism, community trust, and medical guidance. Having a respected physician like Dr. Cantu serve alongside our organization represents an important step forward in strengthening our mission and expanding our impact throughout Texas.

Dr. Cantu brings valuable medical insight, leadership, and a shared passion for improving the health and well-being of children and families in our communities. His support helps reinforce the importance of proper education, prevention, awareness, and access to care β€” especially for underserved families who often struggle in silence due to the stigma surrounding lice and scalp health issues.

At The Lice Project Foundation, our goal is bigger than treatment alone. We are committed to educating schools, supporting families, advocating for children, and creating meaningful community outreach programs that make a lasting difference. The addition of medical professionals to our advisory board helps ensure we continue moving forward with integrity, credibility, and a community-first approach.

We are incredibly honored to have Dr. James Cantu, MD standing beside us as we continue building one of the first nonprofit initiatives of its kind in the State of Texas.

Please join us in welcoming Dr. James Cantu, MD to The Lice Project Foundation as our Medical Board Advisor.
