They are safe now...
But I must ask you....
Why?
Why didn't you get their Mama spayed?
Why didn't you ask for help to get her spayed?
There are low cost spay and neuter programs, Gulf Coast Humane Society has a voucher for Free Spay and Neuter.
Why???
Why did you feel that it was ok to put them in that laundry basket, cover them with a sheet and dump them???
Did you feel that there was no other alternative?
If you still have the mom and need help getting her fixed, please reach out to me. I promise, I will not expose you.
I will help you and the mama dog.

Today is a fresh start for these babies, they have a chance at a good life, because the kind human that found them,asked for help.

As Rescuers, we see the best and worst of humanity, every single day. We run out of our homes at all hours, to save furbabies.
We help.
We do this as Volunteers, no salary, no retirement....

Our souls are tired and sad, but we keep on keeping on...because We are Their Voice.

Happy Easter!! The 'Easter Bunny' brought Casa Segura House of Hope a truly special delivery!!!

This is Jade.
Michelle Puente-Landman and I picked her up yesterday and drove her to safety ❤️, and what a difference it makes!
Thank you to everyone who generously donated gas - your kindness is greatly appreciated! 🙏

Today, in the early hours of 4:30 am, Jade welcomed her 1st puppy, followed by 6 more, with the 7th arriving at 9:40 am, and there's still a possibility of one more little miracle.

We may not know Jade's entire story, but her body bears the signs of a life filled with countless litters 😔, making today her final chapter in that cycle of life 🐾❤️🙏.

As we celebrate the miracle of life and compassion today, we're reminded of the incredible dedication of our village who rallied around Jade and her babies.

Unfortunately, Jade's story is all too common in our town 😔, which is why we want to emphasize the importance of spaying and neutering your fur babies - there are vouchers available at Gulf Coast Humane Society and low-cost programs at various clinics.

From our village to yours, we wish you a joyous Easter ✝️, filled with love, hope, and celebration of life.

Here's The Line Up!!!

We have 5 Furbabies who are ready for their Furever Homes 🏡 🙏🐾

🐾Kahlo was found on the streets of Corpus last year,the young lady who saved her could not longer keep her, we couldn't bring her into our rescue due to lack of space and fosters, so she was placed in boarding. Fast forward to this week, Kahlo will be brought into our rescue and she will be at the event. Kahlo is a very friendly furbaby, she's kennel trained, potty trained and leashed trained and she still has a cute puppy personality.

🐾Sammi is about 3-4 yrs old. She's a very sweet furbaby. Sammi was found on the streets of Corpus after being abandoned. Sammi experienced multiple litters,sadly most of them died on the streets. When we rescued Sammi, she had 3 babies with her, they were all transported and adopted in Pennsylvania. Now it's Sammi's turn to experience a Furever Family and Home. Sammi is very well behaved kennel trained, potty trained and leash trained,she is a very gentle furbaby who loves to be Loved.
Fully vetted.

🐾Stormi was found outside Walmart, she had been staying near the building for over 5 days,depending on the kindness of strangers. Stormi received her name because we rescued her right before a rain storm came through, she's the sweetest girl who loves to give hugs. She's grateful to be safe 🥹

🐾Walter Winnie and Sable were found in a pile of garbage along with their 3 siblings who have since been adopted.
These 3 beautiful babies are pure joy!
They will be Fully vetted upon adoption.

Remember Apollo, the abandoned puppy?
Christina Ovalle discovered him in a sad state, emaciated and frightened. She reached out for help, and we were able to welcome him into our care.
Soon after he arrived Apollo's health took a turn, but thanks to your kindness, compassion, and generosity, along with the exceptional care from the doctors at South Texas Veterinary Urgent Care, he received the medical attention he desperately needed ❤️
This precious furbaby bid farewell to Texas yesterday, Apollo is beginning an incredible new chapter in his life 💙

But wait ✋️. ......There's More!!!

Remember Theodore and Isabella, the tiny puppies cruelly dumped behind the Home Store just before the January freeze?
Nicky Milazzo Martinez captured that moment on camera and asked for help.

With remarkable dedication, Nicky and her husband cared for them while juggling work, three children, and expecting their fourth child - a truly selfless act! 🙏❤️🐾

We took them in a few weeks ago, and yesterday, they too left Texas to start their new lives filled with love, safe from abandonment.

We're just overflowing with gratitude for our incredible Village of rescues, including Kanines and Kitties, Shelter A Mutt and Peewees 🐾❤️

This is the true essence of rescue: Standing up for the voiceless, Helping those who've been lost, abused, and forgotten.

In Rescue we feel every emotion imaginable from immeasurable joy, soul wrecking sadness, extreme anger and sometimes helplessness because we know we can't save them all 😞

We literally live for these moments, to witness the transformation of little lives who were once forgotten and abandoned to seeing them thrive and move on to better lives....
These moments make it all worthwhile🐾❤️🥹

There's no greater joy than knowing they'll receive love for the rest of their lives ❤️🐾🙏

Do you recall Maddie, the beloved furbaby abandoned in our neighborhood in late October?
She waited patiently at the stop sign, holding onto hope that her person would return.
At times, she'd sprint through the neighborhood, searching frantically.

Fortunately, I rescued her in early November and she found solace at Casa Segura House of Hope, where she's been thriving ever since.

Now, the wait is over - Reagan, formerly known as Maddie will soon be heading to her forever home with her new dad.

As the only furbaby, she'll receive all the love and attention she deserves.

A heartfelt thank you to George Hinojosa for welcoming Reagan into his life and giving her a second chance.
