🌊✨ **Corpus Christi Onami Taiko is heading to the Houston Japan Festival!**

This time, we’re especially excited because we’ll finally have the chance to meet both of these wonderful taiko groups in person:

🔥 **Kaminari Taiko of Houston**
🔥 **Austin Taiko**

Both groups have around 30 years of experience sharing the power and spirit of Japanese taiko, and they are truly respected **“Senpai”** in the taiko community.

We have so much respect for the path they have built, and we can’t wait to finally meet them, watch them perform, and connect in person.

For us, this is more than just a festival visit—it’s a chance to learn, build relationships, and connect more deeply with the wider taiko community.

**Houston, here we come!** 🌊🌊

We're excited to welcome Austin Taiko and Corpus Christi Taiko Club this weekend. Come find us and meet the Texas taiko family. See y’all at Japan Festival Houston 2026!!!

🥁✨ We had a GREAT time at STAR CON TEXAS in Portland, TX!!**

Just across the bay from Corpus Christi, we headed over to our closest neighbor—crossing that beautiful new sail-shaped bridge along the way. ⛵️

And wow… Portland has GROWN!

It had been a while since I’d been over there regularly, and our once-quiet neighbor is now filled with familiar stores, restaurants, busy parking lots, and so much energy. With a city growing like this, it’s no surprise that **STAR CON chose this wonderful place!**

The atmosphere was fantastic, with so many visitors showing up in amazing costumes and cosplay. 🎭✨

And of course, we were especially happy to see people stop, listen, feel the rhythm, and enjoy taiko with us. 🥁🌊

Thank you, Portland and STAR CON TEXAS, for having **Onami Taiko**!

We had a blast—and we’re already looking forward to coming back next year! ❤️
