We were so happy to be able to release this little juvenile Cooper's Hawk yesterday morning at the Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve and Learning Center! Another great job by our Second Chances Wildlife Rehab Hospital team!

Happy 4th of July!

We want to invite RTS members out to a release tomorrow morning at Hans & Pat Suter Wildlife Refuge in CC at 11 a.m.!

The Great blue heron was picked up on June 15 in the water at the Corpus Christi Yacht Club, face down and barely alive. Its eyes were covered with green-colored pus, and it was completely unable to see. Additionally, it was very thin. After a few days of fluid therapy and antibiotics, the bird showed dramatic improvement and regained its appetite. It has since recovered and proven its ability to fly and hunt, so it is ready to be released back into its natural environment.

Please come out and see the reason why we support Second Chances and all the incredible work they do!

Great fun was had while good funds were raised for a fantastic cause last night at the Rising Tide Society Care-aoke event! Sean Sutherland and the folks at Railroad Seafood Station Brewing Co. created a special brew called Wildlife Wheat to benefit the Texas State Aquarium's Second Chances Wildlife Rehabilitation Program and folks were sipping and singing all night long to benefit birds and other ill or injured animals in the Coastal Bend. Thanks to all involved for a memorable and melodic event!
