What a day at the Kate’s Hole Oyster Restoration volunteer event!

A huge thank you to the 80+ volunteers who showed up, worked hard, and made everything possible. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Together, we bagged over 1,000 oyster bags that were deployed into the water to help build and strengthen a living shoreline. These efforts create habitat for fish, crabs, oysters, and other marine life while also helping reduce erosion and improve coastal resilience over time.

The Kate's Hole Parking Lot will be closed this afternoon through tomorrow afternoon (June 5th - 6th) for our Kate's Hole Oyster Restoration Volunteer event.

We're excited to improve the habitat and protect this valuable public access point with the help of our partners and volunteers!

We’re excited to be recognized as the beneficiary of the Corpus Christi Hooks 50/50 raffle! Every ticket sold helps support CBBEP’s work protecting and restoring our coastal habitats.

Half the pot went to one lucky fan, and the other half will go right back into projects here in the Coastal Bend.

The summer Packery cleanup is back!

Join us on June 27th for our annual effort to keep Packery Flats clean and debris free! We’ll have all supplies ready, plus a swag bag for every registered volunteer.

Just bring:
• Shoes that can get wet or dirty
• A reusable water bottle
• Sunscreen & bug spray

Water, restrooms, and first aid will be on site.

We are excited to announce our Traveling Nature Story Time summer schedule!

Each month, we will be visiting a different local library to bring nature-based learning directly to our community. During the program, families can enjoy story time, hands-on crafts, and meet some of our live animal ambassadors.

We look forward to seeing you this summer at Owen R. Hopkins Library, Ben F. McDonald Public Library and Nueces County Public Libraries!
