💡 A Brighter Future for the Westside 💡

We would like to recognize our Board President for working with the Texas Department of Transportation to help bring new lighting to the corner of Agnes Street and Crosstown Expressway, home to a park featuring murals that reflect the history, culture, and pride of our community.

For years, this area has faced challenges with crime and neglect. By investing in lighting and visibility, we are helping shine a spotlight on a space that deserves to be seen, appreciated, and valued.

This improvement is about more than lights—it is about creating a safer, more welcoming gateway between the Westside and downtown Corpus Christi. It is one more step toward revitalization, community pride, and a stronger future for everyone who lives, works, and travels through this corridor.

Progress happens when people come together to advocate for their community. 💙

On Tuesday, we hosted the WBA Summer Mixer! ☀️

We enjoyed refreshments, great conversations, welcomed new members, and learned about water messaging initiatives from Visit Corpus Christi. Most importantly, we continued carrying out our mission of uplifting and supporting small businesses on the Westside of Corpus Christi.

A special thank you to Fastsigns Corpus Christi for donating a $200 gift card to one of our active members. To further support local business growth, the WBA proudly matched the donation—bringing the total value to $400 in business services for one lucky small business member Lawn Fraedrick!

Partnerships like these are what strengthen our business community and create meaningful impact together. 💙
