John McDonald, owner of Mcluthier's Guitar and Repair and his friend Steve Fillipp, both in Lubbock Texas, heard our story about finding this wood on the side of the road from a destroyed dock and offered to make this extraordinary, one of a kind guitar and custom case, including the boat cleat that was on the wood, for the handle. Amazing, heartfelt and completely unique. We are going to auction it off and donate the proceeds to help local Hurricane Harvey longtime recovery.
