The Coastal Bend Flute Club held its Spring Concert yesterday, May 31st., 2026, at 3:30, at Gethsemane Lutheran Church.

Our concert was dedicated to our wonderful, beloved friend and co-founder, Frances Branning, who passed away on May 27th., 2026.

The group sounded great as they performed an oldies-themed concert, accompanied by guest musicians, Herschiel Tuley (Guitar) and Frank Newell (Percussion).

The flute club presented  Coastal Bend Flute Club Webmaster, Barbara Schroeter with a Peace Lily and gift card for hosting our rehearsals every month at Gethsemane Lutheran Church for several seasons. We are most appreciative!

Everyone enjoyed yummy treats and fellowship at a reception after the concert. This was a great ending to our season.

The Coastal Bend Flute Club played a wonderful, oldies-themed concert today, April 25th., 2026, at Brookdale Trinity Towers Senior Living, in the Potpourri Room, first floor - 101 N. Upper Broadway, Corpus Christi, Texas 78401 at 2p.m.

The concert was a great success, with a nice turnout, and the audience was great!

We’d like to send a very special thank you to Brookdale Trinity Towers. Another special thanks goes to guest musicians, Lucky Roncinske (cajón) and Herschiel Tuley (guitar). They were wonderful!

Our final concert of the season, our Spring Concert, will be held at:

Corpus Christi, Texas 78415
May 31st. at 3:30p.m.

There will be a reception after the concert. Please come (and bring a friend).

Hi, Everyone! I’ve sent this link to let you know of an event honoring Jim and Judy Cole from Port Arkansas. Jim was the head band director there and Judy was his assistant. She also taught elementary Music AND Art. Judy is a flutist, past flute club President, and a loyal member for many years. She and Jim (Clarinet) played in the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony for many years. If you can, please attend this event to honor these two amazing Music educators. Linda Weber (also a past flute club President) and I are going.

Everyone is invited! We will gather on the front steps at 4pm on Tuesday, March 31st for the ribbon-cutting, followed by a sneak peek tour of the center and refreshments in the dining room.

We are incredibly excited to open the doors and share this beautiful new facility with our community. This project became a reality thanks to the support of our voters in the 2023 bond election, and we look forward to celebrating what it means for our students, our community, and the future of PAISD.

Today, we welcomed new member, Kathryn Vasquez (Calallen High School) and guest musicians, Lucky Roncinske (cajon) and Herschiel Tuley (guitar). They all did great.
