💫 Our hearts are still full after our Rising Stars Luncheon in the Rio Grande Valley last week! To everyone who joined us, supported our mission, and continues to believe in the children and youth we serve - thank you! To our Strength in Adversity Honorees, thank you for sharing your stories with us. We are incredibly proud of you and all that lies ahead. You are never alone. And a special thank you to our keynote speaker, Quan Cosby, for sharing your heart and advocating alongside us for children and youth experiencing foster care.

Proud is an understatement! 🎓✨Today we celebrate our Soaring Scholar, Jalen, as she earns her degree in Computer Science, and former Scholar Petra, who recently earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work!

While many youth with foster care experience enroll in college, only about 10% go on to earn their degree, making these accomplishments even more incredible.

When young people are surrounded with encouragement, opportunity, and support, amazing things happen. Jalen and Petra are proof and we could not be more proud to celebrate them today! 🩵

Justin is taking his next steps toward independence as he graduates from High School and prepares to move into a Supervised Independent Living program while attending college in San Antonio.

Right now, in South Texas, there are more children entering foster care than there are families available to care for them. That means children are often placed far from their communities, and siblings may be separated.

This April, we’re raising awareness and standing together for child abuse prevention because protecting children takes all of us! We enjoyed standing alongside other organizations for the annual "Go Blue" event. Together, we can create safer, stronger communities.

It's prom season and we had a great time at our Prom Boutique Experience where young women in foster care were able to pick out 2-3 dresses, enjoy lunch, take photos, and receive Ulta Beauty gift cards to complete their look. It's truly more than just a dress, it's confidence, joy and a moment to feel seen. ✨
