✨ Leadership Corpus Christi Class 55 – Opening Retreat Recap ✨

Class 55 is officially underway! 🎉

Leadership Corpus Christi Class 55 kicked off its year with a two-day Opening Retreat at Camp Aranzazu, bringing the class together for an immersive experience focused on leadership, self-discovery, Corpus Christi history, team building and connection.

Across the two days, Class 55 experienced:

Corpus Christi History with Carol Scott, LCC 16, and Mark Scott, LCC 17, connecting the city’s past to the community Class 55 will explore throughout the year and gaining a deeper understanding of the people, decisions and milestones that helped shape Corpus Christi.

StrengthsFinder & Individual Strengths with Galen Hoffstadt, LCC 17, identifying the talents each class member brings to the table and how different strengths can complement one another when working toward a common goal.

Personal Mission Statement Development with Kelsey Chopelas, LCC 48, challenging class members to define the values and purpose that guide how they lead, serve and make an impact.

“Your Life Walk” with Dr. Kate Rodriguez Treiber, LCC 50, creating space for reflection and meaningful conversation about the experiences that shape our perspectives and the way we connect with others.

During the team-building challenges, the class experienced putting communication and collaboration into action at a moment's notice.

A big thank you to the Leadership Corpus Christi Class 55 members and Steering Committee who volunteered at the first water stop for Conquer the Coast this past weekend! 🚴‍♀️

Hosted by the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce , Conquer the Coast brings cyclists together from across the Coastal Bend, and our Class 55 members were there to help keep riders fueled and refreshed as they made their way along the 66 mile route.

We’re proud to see Class 55 putting servant leadership into action and representing Leadership Corpus Christi so well! Thank you for giving your time and making a difference in our community. 💙

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Roberto Bosquez, a longtime community leader and a member of the first Steering Committee of Leadership Corpus Christi in 1973.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know and work alongside him.

Class 55 has arrived! From Onboarding to Orientation, class members are eager to begin their personal and collective journey together.

During Onboarding, class members received an overview of the longstanding United Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce program, Leadership Corpus Christi. It was also an opportunity for the new class to meet one another for the first time and hear from Anna Aldridge, Foundation Chair, who wished them well as they begin their LCC journey.

Orientation gave class members the opportunity to participate in a SWOC (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Challenges) activity, take part in a hypothetical $10M budgeting exercise, hear from other “Voices of Support,” and share their “Why LCC.” The class also learned about the 12 Principles of the LCC program, which serve as a foundation for upcoming sessions.
