Plastic pollution is a pressing issue along the Texas coast, with millions of pounds of trash and debris making their way into the environment.

This debris doesn’t just look bad—it harms wildlife and ecosystems. Marine animals like sea turtles and shorebirds often mistake plastic for food or become entangled in it, leading to injury or death. Cleaning up plastic pollution is essential to protecting the health of our coast, our fisheries, and our communities.
