ASG-Corpus Christi Our chapter is a group of over 30 sewing enthusiasts from the Corpus Christi area. We are a member of a national organization, American Sewing Guild.

We meet monthly on the second Tuesday at Singer Sewing Center from 9:30 to 5:00 come join us! Our chapter is a group of sewing enthusiasts with all types of sewing interests from Corpus Christi and surrounding areas including winter Texans. We are a chapter of the American Sewing Guild, a national organization made up of over 100 chapters throughout the United States. We provide monthly meetings with interesting programs, workshops, on-going community service projects, challenges and great show and tell. We bring in special speakers and also share our talents with the group. Our members receive our local newsletter 4 times a year and announcements are sent out weekly by email. Our TAG (Teach Another Generation) program has us working with schools in the area supporting teachers and students to help encourage young people to sew. In 2014, we will be launching our first annual “Young Designers Rock” a student style show. We donate award money every year to both Nueces County and San Patricio County livestock shows for winners in the clothing division.

We need to ensure that there are enough batting for the kits. We strongly suggest you make your jelly roll rope prior to the meeting, then you can make the sun bonnet or wreath when we all meet (If you already know how to make it). Contact us if you want the batting or jig kit, and a time/place to meet you to deliver your batting early.
