It is with great sadness that the Paws and Claws of the Coastal Bend will not be holding its annual Fur Ball this October. As you know, this is a 100% volunteer run organization with no paid staff members, and sadly this year, we did not have the strength numbers to put on this event. Our efforts to help local grassroots animal rescue organizations, though, will not be stopped. We hope to continue to grow this nonprofit organization and put on an amazing event in the future. If you are interested in being a part of this organization, message us! Thank you for your continued support for all those fur babies.

This guy was found walking down a busy street yesterday. Not microchipped, not altered and extremely underweight. We have searched for missing notices for him with nothing so far. Would anyone want to foster this gentle giant (only 90 pounds right now) while we give his owners time to come forward. If no one comes forward, we will begin vetting immediately and begin searching for his new home. He is not available for adoption at this time. Adoption inquiries will not be looked at. We are calling him Marcin. So far he has been extremely sweet and gentle with everything!!!

We need YOU to help us make the 2025 Fur Ball: Howl at the Moon a reality! Join us for a fun Volunteer Social on Thursday, June 19th at 6:00 PM at The Annex (402 Peoples Street, Corpus Christi).

Enjoy wine, hors d'oeuvres, and great company while learning how you can get involved. 💛

Last year we raised over $60,000 for local animal rescues — let’s do it again! Without enough volunteers, we’ll have to postpone the event to next year. 😿
