Record-breaking high temperatures are expected in South Texas this week. Stay cool, drink plenty of fluids, check on relatives and neighbors, and take precautions when working or spending time outside.

City of Corpus Christi cooling centers will be open for normal business hours. The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority will allow fare-free rides to and from cooling centers.

A heartfelt thank you to all our incredible volunteers who helped make this year’s PIT count a resounding success. Your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in supporting our efforts to assist the homeless population in our community. Thanks to your involvement, we have successfully visited all our designated locations and are now completing the final rounds. Your commitment to this cause is truly inspiring, and we cannot thank you enough for your time, effort, and compassion. Together, we are making a difference!

Each year, the Point in Time Count survey is conducted to document the number of individuals experiencing homelessness in our community on a single night. The Homeless Issues Partnership (HIP) is calling on community members to step up and volunteer to help with this important initiative.
