Good morning everyone!!

Today’s TARS Warrior of the Day is, Sherry!!

Hi! I’m Sherry! My life is so full. I enjoy traveling to new places and meeting amazing people. I attend church regularly and participate in small group study. I’m curious about people and the world around me. I’m goofy and sometimes silly. I enjoy baking and learning new recipes.

I am not a real life trex and my TAR syndrome doesn’t define me. I’m more than my arm length. TAR syndrome comes with some challenges, but TAR warriors are strong! We just do things a little different!.

Say hi 👋 to Sherry!!

We Write It Together 💙

When a family receives a TAR Syndrome diagnosis, one of the first things they often discover is how little information may be available.

Because TAR Syndrome is so rare, experiences can vary. Questions don’t always have easy answers. Even healthcare providers may encounter situations they have never seen before.

That’s why community matters.

At TARS Awareness Texas, we don’t claim to have all the answers.

What we do have is a community of families, caregivers, adult TARS warriors, advocates, and supporters who are willing to learn together, share experiences, and support one another through every stage of the journey.

We learn from each other.

We celebrate victories together.

We share lessons learned.

We help families find resources.

We advocate for awareness and understanding.

And when someone is facing uncertainty, we remind them that they are not facing it alone.

That’s why we say:

We Learn.

We Support.

We Advocate.

We Write It Together.

Every family contributes knowledge.

Every experience adds another page.

Every voice matters.

Because while TAR Syndrome doesn’t come with a manual, together we are building the understanding, support, and community we wish every family had from the very beginning.

And no matter where you are on your journey, we’re here for you.

🩸💙 Be the Reason Someone Gets Another Tomorrow 💙🩸

Every day, patients depend on blood and platelet donors to survive accidents, surgeries, cancer treatments, chronic illnesses, and rare conditions like TAR Syndrome.

For many individuals with TAR Syndrome, platelet transfusions can be lifesaving during medical emergencies and periods of severe thrombocytopenia. As a TAR family, we understand firsthand just how important donors are. That's why we're inviting our community to join us for our upcoming blood drive!

📅 June 20, 2026
🕚 11:00 AM
📍 Alamo Drafthouse – Corpus Christi

A single donation can help save multiple lives. Whether you're a first-time donor or a regular donor, your gift can make a lasting impact on someone who is counting on the generosity of strangers.

❤️ Donate blood.
❤️ Consider becoming a platelet donor.
❤️ Share this post and help us spread the word.

Because somewhere, someone is waiting for the donation that could change everything.

Together, we are Rare but Strong. 💙

Good morning everyone!!

Today’s TARS Warrior of the Day is, Avery!!

Avery is a spunky, amazing and creative 5 year old. His favorite things are drawing, fishing, reading & being anywhere his big brother is.

Avery does not let the hard things get him down and strives to complete them all by himself first. His resilience is truly so encouraging, in moments of doubt, he begins a new route around whatever it is that might be harder for him to complete. He just graduated Prek and is headed off to Kindergarten this upcoming school year.

Thank you to EVERYONE in this kiddo’s village. Having a supporting corner in this big ole world has been amazing for Avery and his confidence.

Say hi 👋 to Avery!!
