What a great weekend at mega rally with Rio Grand region piny club.

Members of all ages came together for a weekend of friendly competition.

Sandy creek represented in showjumping and trail, with both of our members taking part in their VERY first rally.

Freya and Merrylegs won first place in their division for trail and their team came first place in show jumping.

Amy and Pango won first place in their division for trail and PERFECT horse management!

Ms Sue and Maisy came along to support their team members and lend a helping hand. And we were so grateful!

Pony club is the perfect place for horse enthusiasts of ALL ages to achieve their goals.

Whether your are new to horses, want to ease into competition or just want to lend a hand USPC is the place to be!

Well done team, it was a pleasure!

We had another successful meeting yesterday. Our horse management was all about parasites and 'noticing' things about your horse.

We have some members considering testing for c-level as part of the c rating members are required to develop their teaching skills, so they will be preparing to deliver some lessons to their peers.

The United States Pony Club help to develop transferable life skills as well as providing opportunities for personal growth, all in a supportive environment. And better yet.... we have groups for ALL ages and skill levels.

What a great meeting we had yesterday. We learnt how to apply standing wraps, rode and worked on becoming stable in our core while also being able to breath.

We are excited to host a special clinic with Nicolas Diaz at KJ Equestrian!

This is a great opportunity to ride or audit with an accomplished horseman and educator.

📅 Date: Saturday, March 7th | Starting at 9:00 AM

📍 Location: KJ Equestrian – 1545 Yorktown Boulevard

🔹 Registration is REQUIRED with full payment.
🔹 No refunds unless your spot can be filled.
🔹 Registration closes February 28th.

• May be private or shared, depending on participation

Yesterday the Corpus Christi Fire Department came out to talk about fire safety and teach our members how to correctly use a fire extinguisher.

We all walked away feeling more confident in our abilities.

Attention!

Due to the current EHV breakout, The sandy creek pony club committee has decided to close entries to our fundraising show to all horses outside of the KJ Equestrian boarding facility. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may have caused..all pre entries will be refunded promptly.

We'd also like to express our understanding to any of our volunteers who decide they will not be attending our event this weekend. Please just let us know ASAP so that we can plan accordingly.

We'd also like any and all volunteers, participants and spectators to ensure that they take proper precautions when traveling between barns.

This means, washing hands, changing clothes and shoes, showering and disinfecting shoes and equipment between barns.

Participants are reminded, not to share buckets, brushes and equipment.
