Cub Scout Pack 1100 Cypress, TX Cub Scout Pack 1100 is located in Cypress, TX. We are chartered by Hamilton Elementary's PTO. Our pack has Lion (Kindergarten) through Webelos (5th grade) ranks.

Last Friday night, Pack 1100 took to the track at the Cypress VFW Hall for our annual Pinewood Derby—and wow. 🏁🏎️🏎️🏁 Special congrats to our Grand Champion, Arden, and our Grand Turtle, Kamelah!!

What an incredible display of creativity, craftsmanship, speed…and sportsmanship!

For weeks, our Scouts (and their adult partners 😁) designed, sanded, painted, weighted, tested, adjusted, and sometimes even rebuilt their cars. We saw bold designs, meticulous detailing, and a whole lot of pride in every single entry.

Scouts cheered as their cars flew down the track. Parents beamed with pride…and humor…at goals accomplished…and lessons learned. 😅

Big thank yous to our leaders, parent volunteers, Scouts BSA race crew, the Cypress VFW for hosting us, and thr wonderful support of Hamilton Elementary School. Pack 1100 showed up strong!!

Last weekend, Pack 1100 climbed aboard the legendary USS Lexington in Corpus Christi and called this historic WWII aircraft carrier home for the night!

We slept in original crew berthing, ate in the mess hall, and explored 11 decks of ladders, passageways, aircraft, and history.

We ran scavenger hunts up and down steel corridors, stood shoulder to shoulder during the patriotic presentation of the flag, and bonded just like a bunch of Cub Scouts on a very big boat. 😉

Huge thanks to the parents and leaders who made the trip happen and leaned all the way in with our Scouts. ❤️⚜️❤️ ⚜️

What a night. 💙💛

Pack 1100 recently celebrated the Birthday of Scouting with our annual Blue & Gold — and it was everything it’s supposed to be: loud, joyful, a little chaotic, and full of laughter! 😂

This year we leaned into a sports theme, and the energy was contagious. There were baseball swings, field day races, cheer relays, basketball shots, pickleball rallies, and soccer drills happening everywhere you looked. Scouts ran. Parents jumped in. Siblings cheered. Grandparents smiled. Alumni showed up.

To every parent, grandparent, volunteer, sibling, and alumni who helped set up, tear down, coach, cheer, organize, and encourage — thank you!

Thank you Cypress TX!!! Because of your generosity, our pack collected over 5500 pounds of food donations for the less fortunate in our community— contributing to over 35,000 pounds of food collected in Big Cypress District for distribution by Cypress Assistance Ministries, thanks to the ongoing support of the Sam Houston Area Council, and Scouting America.

Thanks to all the Scouts, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, grandmas, grandpas, and everyone in our pack family who came out in the cold weather to support the collection effort. You are awesome!

Good morning, Cypress! Today’s the day. If you received a Scouting for Food bag or door hanger last weekend, please consider putting a donation of non-perishable food out on your front doorstep at 9:00AM.

Our Scouts will be out in your neighborhood today! All food donations will be delivered to Cypress Assistance Ministries for distribution to those in need within our own community.

Did you know? Socks are one of the most requested items by families in need.

Thanks to the generosity of our Scouts and families, Cub Scout Pack 1100 donated 300 pairs of socks to Cypress Assistance Ministries.

Today was a fun day for Pack 1100 leadership at Sam Houston Area Council, Scouting America’s University of Scouting—including a chance encounter of current Cubmaster, Chris Mendez, and former Cubmaster, Daniel Gildersleeve—who formally transitioned roles last month.

Thanks to all the volunteers who came to learn and veteran leaders who provided some amazing training to help us better deliver the promise of Scouting!
