๐Ÿ’œ New Military Order of the Purple Heart Member Benefit Announcement ๐Ÿ’œ

MOPH Chapter 598 and MOPH Department of Texas are proud to announce a new partnership with NuCalm, bringing another meaningful membership benefit to our Purple Heart recipients.

Poll Question:
What part of the Purple Heartโ€™s meaning do you think deserves the most recognition?

The sacrifice behind it
The personal stories
The lasting legacy
The commitment to service ๐Ÿ’œ

The meaning behind the Purple Heart cannot be measured by the medal alone.

It represents moments of sacrifice, decisions made under pressure, and lives forever shaped by service.

Every Purple Heart carries a story that deserves remembrance and respect.

Today, we honor those stories and the people behind them. ๐Ÿ’œ

Some reminders of history are written in books. Others are carried by the people who lived it.

The Purple Heart stands as a symbol of service that came at a personal cost, leaving behind stories that deserve to be remembered with honor and respect.

Today, we reflect on that meaning and the legacy it continues to hold. ๐Ÿ’œ

Some missions deserve more than support. They deserve our heart.

MOPH Chapter 598 is proud to sponsor Team Resilience, and we will continue to stand behind them because their mission matters.

Team Resilience is built around critically wounded police officers. Men and women who gave everything in service to their communities, were injured in the line of duty, and are now fighting a different kind of battle. The physical wounds may be visible, but the weight they carry does not always show.

That is where Team Resilience steps in.

Gus and his team make sure these officers are treated like they should be treated: with honor, dignity, respect, and the red-carpet welcome they have earned. They do not just hand them a race bib. They give them a team. They give them purpose. They give them a reason to keep moving forward.

Running becomes more than miles.

It becomes healing.

It becomes brotherhood.

It becomes proof that trauma does not get the final word.

As Purple Heart recipients, we know that being wounded in service changes you. We also know that recovery is not meant to be walked alone. That is why MOPH598 is honored to support Team Resilience and the officers who continue to rise, rebuild, and refuse to quit.

Wounded does not mean broken.

Service does not end at injury.

And resilience is what happens when warriors keep moving forward together.

Weโ€™ve been making several updates to our website, including a cleaner look, updated menu options, and easier access to our programs and resources.

Take a few minutes to visit:

MOPH598.org

While youโ€™re there, check out the Coastal Bend Veterans Resource Guide. This is the time of year when many veteran organizations hold elections and leadership changes, so if your organization has updated officers, contact information, meeting times, or resources, please let us know so we can keep the guide accurate.

Also, take a look at our Purple Heart Entity Program. We are always looking for new Purple Heart Entities and community partners who want to publicly honor Purple Heart recipients and combat wounded veterans.

You can also learn more about the Coastal Bend Purple Heart Exhibit, scheduled to open August 8, 2026.

There is still time for Purple Heart recipients to submit their information to be included in the exhibit and added to the list of Coastal Bend Purple Heart recipients.

We are also working to identify Purple Heart recipients who have passed so we can create a dog tag in their honor to hang on the Battle Cross.

Our goal is simple: keep veterans connected, honor sacrifice, and make sure our community knows where to find help, support, and resources.

Visit MOPH598.org and let us know what needs to be updated.

Some forms of courage donโ€™t ask to be noticed.

The Purple Heart represents moments where commitment was tested under the hardest circumstances, leaving behind a legacy that deserves lasting respect.

Today, we pause to remember and honor those stories. ๐Ÿ’œ

What do you think people should remember most about the Purple Heart?

The sacrifice behind it
The stories connected to it
The history it represents
The people who earned it ๐Ÿ’œ

The Purple Heart is more than a medal โ€” itโ€™s a reminder that some acts of service leave a mark that lasts far beyond the moment itself.

Behind it are stories of duty, sacrifice, and lives forever changed.

Today, we honor the meaning it carries and the people connected to it. ๐Ÿ’œ
