📚Mayor’s Summer Reading Challenge📚

Reading is fun for everyone, and this summer, I want to challenge children age 12 and under to dive into the magical world of books! Join the Mayor's Summer Reading Challenge and track as many books as you can. This year's theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library."

Explore all six libraries across our city, because libraries belong to you. With hundreds of books to choose from, you're sure to find stories that captivate your imagination. Read at least 20 books, and you'll receive a special certificate from me!

Reading during the summer has so many benefits:

🧠 Keeps your mind active and engaged
🔍 Helps you learn more about your interests
🗣️ Enhances memory and vocabulary skills

Save the date for the Happy Health back to school health fair. 📅🎒🍎

The free back to school health fair will be from 9 a.m. to noon on July 27 at Roy Miller High School. There will be school supplies, health screenings, physicals and more!

🤩 HAPPENING TOMORROW - JUNE 1!

💦 Bring the kids to splash around and have some fun in the sun with us!

We're hosting a family-friendly water activities event at the "Splash & Play" 💦🤸 event at the Salinas Park Splash Pad this Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm. There will be delicious local food and drinks available for purchase from the food trucks on-site. 🌭🥤🚎

Be sure to arrive early to snag one of the first 50 Italian ice snow cones being given away to event attendees!

Admission is free, so everyone can join in on the fun. Remember to grab your picnic blanket and lawn chairs!
