The city of Corpus Christi plans to launch its first composting program, which will include a new landfill and composting facility, by 2021.

Hello friends! First I would like to wish you strong health and calm mind (if possible) in these tough times. We are all in this together♥️ 🌏

Many people are having their groceries delivered home right now. They usually come packed in many plastic bags, almost always doubled, so they don’t rip open. There are definitely more ways to think about the current situation, and one of them might be that we truly need to take better care of our Mother Earth and the Oceans.

Here is a simple tip about how to avoid using plastic plastic bags while having our food delivered. When you next do the home delivery through the HEB online shopping, or other grocery stores, put a note in the comments.

For example I always write this: Please if you don’t mind packing everything in the boxes, with as little plastic bags/packaging as possible. I am trying to help the planet using less plastic:) I really appreciate your help, take care and have a wonderful day!

You can copy paste mine, but since English is my second language, feel free to correct me or create your own note🤗

My groceries always came beautifully packed in cardboard boxes, which I reuse or recycle, and lately they’ve been coming in a nice plastic box for free which I always return so they can reuse it.

Bring the clothes you don’t need or wear anymore, take whatever you like with you for free and the rest will be donated♥️ (clothes, household items, toys for kids, baby clothes, cosmetics, hygiene stuff-anything is appreciated🙏) we can watch an outdoor movie after or just enjoy ourselves like the last time. My studio will be open so you are welcome to hang out👩‍🎨 I am making a surprise drink and few snacks. Bring the cup and bring your friends, kids, men and women too! Here are some pics from the first CLOTHES SWAP I organized under our house. It was amazing, people brought really pretty clothes and useful items, everyone took something nice home, and there is a huge box left for the donation to local organizations helping people in need. Baby stuff, cosmetics, shoes, clothes, blankets, everything. Thank you everyone for participating and helping each other. I really encourage you friends to do something similar. Besides being able to help and donate it encourages people to avoid shopping fast fashion, and it’s also wonderful way how to connect with likeminded people around you. See you next time! 🧡♻️🌏👯‍♀️

Hello friends. if anyone wants to start with sourdough please let me know! I have well established starter you can bake delicious bread with, or add it to your pancakes, pies and cakes recipes instead of flour. Do your research but from
what I’ve read it’s great for gluten intolerant people too plus has lot of vitamins and probiotics.

The starter is very easy to maintain, don’t be scared😍

And also, good news😍! CLOTHES SWAP, ICE TEA, OUTDOOR MOVIE SCREENING!

I will take care of clothes racks, boxes and Hibiscus Ice Tea🌺. You can bring anything useful what you don’t need. Clothes, shoes, baby stuff, kitchen utensils, cosmetics. You can take anything you see and like from stuff what other people brought. All FOR FREE.

The goal is to get rid of things you don’t need/wear, and get something you need or like instead of buying and supporting fast fashion, that is harmful to our planet. Everything what will be left will be donated to Mission 911 and Metro Ministries Corpus Christi.

PLEASE BRING YOUR CUPS FOR THE ICE TEA, it will really help🤗

I am planning on organizing the movie nights every month if I am in town! I will be mostly picking movies what were awarded with different prizes or are kind of artistic, and what we usually can’t see in the cinema. It might not please everyone 😁 so feel free to check the movie trailer first or you can try it out and if it’s not your cup of tea, you can simply put your chairs aside in our garden and talk with your friends instead🤗 Please bring your chair and your drink and snacks if you want to.
