Know the Signs. Start the Conversation.

You Don't Have to Be an Expert to Care.

Sometimes people who are struggling don't know how to ask for help.

A change in someone's behavior, mood, or ability to cope may be an opportunity to check in.

A simple conversation can begin with:
💙 “I've noticed you haven't seemed like yourself lately. How are you doing?”
💙 “I'm here if you want to talk.”
💙 “You don't have to go through this by yourself.”

Listen with compassion. Take concerns seriously. Help connect the person with professional support when needed.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available 24/7.

September 11 – We Remember

Today, MHID joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the first responders, service members, families, and countless individuals whose lives were forever changed.

We remember the courage shown in the face of tragedy, the compassion extended to strangers, and the strength of communities that came together during an unimaginable time.

May we continue to honor their memory through kindness, service, and unity.

We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

💙 One Call. One Conversation. One Connection.

September 8 is 988 Day and September 10 is World Su***de Prevention Day.

Both are important reminders that support can begin with one connection.

If you are struggling emotionally, worried about your mental health, or concerned about someone you care about, reaching out is a sign that you don't have to carry everything alone.

📞 Call or text 988 to connect with the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

💙 MHID's Crisis Services are also here for our community 24/7.
