Our office thoroughly enjoyed the comedy show on su***de and depression at Naval Base Coronado galley.
What we really appreciated was that the conedians role modeled transparency and vulnerability, which are the BEST antidotes to su***de and depression.
They totally exposed themselveslves and openly talked aTerry Crewstheir struggles. So autheniNaval Base Coronado Chapelsto see.
As NBC XO always says, “sunlight is the best disinfectant.” Terry Crews taught us that secrets only gain power in the dark. Our Naval Base Coronado Chapels are storefronts for spirotual readiness. A safe place to go to expose the roots leading to bad fruits. We are a safe place for ALL. We’re all I this together.

What a fulfilling night of ministry. Teaming up with Cadence International at Naval Base Coronado has been such a joy! Tonight chaps Bareng taught an inductive bible study method he calls CHECK DISC.

Check your heart (1 John 1:9)
Discover the context
Identify Key Words

It’s a method he created using prof Howie Handricks inductive bible study methods and principles from professor Haddon Robinson in homiletics.

The group learned that they can study the Bible without any outside help (commentaries and the internet), but to focus on the text and the context.

The Bridge house meets at 466 Alameda Blvd in Coronado, CA (the fourth house down the street from Naval Air Station North Island). We encourage all Sailors to come check it out!

Today, we witnessed the incredible dedication and teamwork of our Naval Base Coronado Religious Ministry Team during a heartfelt memorial service.
Chaplain Steven Schwarz opened with a meaningful invocation, Chaplain Bareng shared a beautiful rendition of Psalm 23 along with pastoral reflections, and Chaplain Cornelius Johnson concluded with a touching benediction. Behind the scenes, RP2 Jonathan Creamer ensured all religious ministry protocol ran seamlessly.
We are truly grateful for our RMTs commitment to serving our community with such care and professionalism. Their efforts today were a testament to the strength and unity we strive for in the Navy. Thank you for setting an example of service and leadership!
