Do you have a used iPad, Android tablet, or e-reader that you no longer need? We are putting together a donation package to send to students in rural Ghana, West Africa.

For many years, with the help of Coronado Rotary Club, we have been connecting communities in rural Ghana to Coronado. We have traveled there with Coronado high school students and send along school supplies, books, computers and funds.

This year we're not traveling, but we are working closely with our Ghanaian friends to find out what their children need. Turns out, it's tablets for school.

If you are interested in helping, please send us a message and we will give you the on-island address that you can drop off any working tablets and e-readers. If you do not have a tablet to donate but still would like to contribute to this drive, you can consider donating money for the shipping cost.

All donations are tax-deductible through our 501c3. Thank you for your consideration!

I just received a letter from scholarship receipient Donny Kwabena Tongbil in Ghana and I would like to share it with all of you. Dear Auntie Linda, How are you doing? And how is work and the entire family? I miss you greatly. I am done with my Summer internship and the company gave me Ghc250 (about $64) to cover the cost I incurred from transportation during my working period. [ 149 more words. ]

I just received a letter from scholarship receipient Donny Kwabena Tongbil in Ghana and I would like to share it with all of you.

Dear Auntie Linda,

How are you doing? And how is work and the entire family? I miss you greatly.
I am done with my Summer internship and the company gave me Ghc250 (about $64) to cover the cost I incurred from transportation during my working period. I really had a great experience from working in the company. (A banking and finance company in Ghana)
We will resume to school on 16th August. I am left with two semesters to finish school, thus I will be graduating from school on April/May 2017.
By the grace of God. I am now thinking about how my school fees will be paid. Thank you Auntie and the organization, the generous donors and Community Wings for fighting always to make us better people in the future. It is because of you all that we can
smile today.
May God richly bless you and it is in my prayers always that the Lord will provide your heart desires in Jesus name.
