To our treasured Golfing Supporters of VAREP Hampton Roads and Hampton Roads Veterans,

It's only a couple weeks until the 2026 VAREP Stars and Stripes Veteran Charity Golf Tournament hosted by the Hampton Roads Chapter of Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP), celebrating the 250th Birthday of our great country!

Funds raised will support VAREP’s VAREPCares and STOP, DROP, and PUSH initiatives to support Hampton Roads Veterans facing housing hardships and personal anguish.

The Tournament date is Thursday May 21st, with Shotgun start at 9:00am, and Awards luncheon to follow around 2:00pm.

Registration is available at www.VAREP.net/HRGolf21May Registration includes greens fees, golf cart, lunch, dinner, Goodie Bag, and a chance at some great prizes. Prices are $125 for singles, and $450 for a foursome.

VAREP is a national 501.c.19 Veteran non-profit with 36 local chapters across the US. VAREP’s mission is to increase sustainable home ownership, VA Loan awareness, financial literacy and economic opportunity for the Veteran and active military communities. VAREP also actively advocates in Congress, DoD, Dept of VA, and HUD for Veteran housing and VA Loan issues.

VAREP Hampton Roads, VA Chapter marched in the 2025 Veterans Day Parade at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront to bring awareness of our mission to promote sustainable homeownership, financial literacy education, VA Loan awareness, and economic opportunity for the active military and veteran community. Despite temps in the 30s, the crowd was great and we handed out wristbands to remind our local citizens of our important mission.

VAREP is seeking a few volunteers to join us this Friday afternoon, Nov 7th at The Moving Wall - A Vietnam Veterans Memorial on display at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Visitor Guide tasks include the following:
- Help make visits more personal, meaningful, and comfortable for visitors
- Provide comfort and emotional support to visitors
- Help visitors find names by using the directories or computer
- Help visitors find names on The Moving Wall
- Make name rubbings or help visitors make name rubbings
- Answer questions about The Moving Wall or the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC
- Answer questions about the Veterans Week schedule of events
- Help maintain a quiet and solemn mood near The Moving Wall
- Help keep the area clean
