There’s something powerful about watching a young person grow into who they are — not who the world tells them to be.

This young girl carries strengths that don’t need to be measured or compared to anyone else. Maybe it’s the way she asks thoughtful questions, the way she stands up for others, her imagination, her honesty, or the calm confidence she brings into a room.

Strengths like these shape a life. They deserve to be noticed.

So today, we’re inviting our community to pause and reflect:
What’s a strength that feels true to you — something that’s part of your core, not your accomplishments?

Share one below.

Introducing Our Complex Care Support & Resource Guide

We’re proud to share the Autism Society Inland Empire’s Complex Care Support & Resource Guide, created to support Autistic individuals and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with the families and caregivers who love them.

This guide has quickly become a trusted lifeline for families navigating the overwhelming realities of complex Autism and ID/DD support needs. Built collaboratively with caregivers, professionals, and community partners, it helps families cut through confusion, understand systems, and connect with the resources they deserve.

Most importantly, it reminds every parent, sibling, grandparent, and caregiver that you are never alone on this journey.

This evolving guide exists because our community asked for clarity, compassion, and real‑world guidance — and we’re humbled to help provide it.

Some strengths can’t be taught — they’re just part of who you are.
This young man has a gift that shows up the moment he’s around animals. They relax. They trust him. They see him.

Strengths aren’t achievements or awards.
They’re the qualities that shape how we move through the world.
The things that come naturally.
The things that make us… us.

Today, we’re celebrating the strengths that don’t always get named out loud.
The quiet ones.
The gentle ones.
The powerful ones.

What’s a strength that feels true to you?
Share it below — let’s fill this space with celebration instead of comparison.

Not every autistic person fits the stereotypes — and that’s more than okay.
For some of us, Autism doesn’t show up as lining up toy cars. It can look like sorting candy by color before eating it, organizing closets by shade, arranging icons just right, or lining up our plushies in the way that feels comforting.
These patterns aren’t “wrong” or “weird.” They’re part of how our brains find calm, joy, and order in a busy world.
At the Autism Society Inland Empire, we celebrate the many ways autistic people express themselves. Your way of being is valid, meaningful, and uniquely yours.
You can find out more about Autism at IEAutism.org

Thank you Neurodivergent_lou for sharing and reminding us of this.❤️

Every person deserves to be understood for who they are — not just the support they need, but the things that make their life meaningful, joyful, and uniquely theirs.

That’s why Person‑Centered Thinking is at the heart of an IPP (One‑Page Profile). It helps capture two powerful truths:
✅ What’s important TO me — the people, routines, interests, environments, and values that make life feel good.
✅ What’s important FOR me — the supports, safety, and accommodations that help me thrive.

When we honor both, we see THE WHOLE PERSON.
✅ We see strengths.
✅ We see identity.
✅ We see possibility.

Today, we invite you to reflect with us:
What’s one thing that’s important TO you?
A favorite activity? A sensory need? A value you hold?
Share it below — your voice helps build a community where everyone is seen and supported.
