Dear family, friends and well-wishers,
This message is to officially welcome all of you to Twegaite Global organization. At Twegaite Global we welcome all people irirespective of their tribe, as long as they help us carry out our mission and achieve our goals. We encourage active participation, please don't hesitate to share your thoughts, ask questions, or engage with other members in regard to our mission and vision. We are united (Twegaite) to see Busoga and its people move towards prosperity, in all spheres. (Tuseteyo mubuningi).
To help keep the group organized and focus on our unity and mission, we discourage discussing any topics that has potential to divide us. We respect everyone’s believes; as such political and religious discussions are not welcome on the forum We must stick together - Twegaite.
We welcome prayers and we need our God close.
Announcements, such as weddings, graduations, death, business adverts, events in other communities etc are ok.
Twegaite Global is a member organization and we are preparing great things for our diaspora community as well as for the people in Uganda. Please allow us time to plan, implement and move smoothly to greater heights. (Mubuningi).
Announcements:
1. In the next few days, we will be introducing our interim leaders and regional representatives.
2. We will hold formal elections at the annual
convention in Los Angeles in 2025.
3. Membership registration is open to all starting Thursday 8/1/2024. Membership fee is $50 per individual , $120 for a group of three $35 for any additional member of the same group. One must be a member to vote.
4. Twegaite Global Annual convention will take place in Los Angeles from May 22nd - 26th 2025. More details about the convention will be posted by the president or VP.
6. Twegaite Global board of directors will NOT be appointed nor must they be Basoga; rather, they will apply, pay an application fee and be vetted before being accepted to the BoT.
7. We have a constitution that must be followed closely and violation of any article there in will be grounds for disciplinary action. We have a disciplinary committee to handle just that.
The constitution will be posted here and on the website for everyone to get and abide by it.
