MY TRUMP CHOMP CHALLENGE
Enough with angry opinions, relentless finger-pointing and incessant whining. Let’s get right down to it: Republicans now control the Presidency, the House and the Senate. The Supreme Court is sure to follow. Our country finally has its clear path to greatness that so many have been hoping for. All logjams have been removed – and so have all excuses.
Personally, I believe Trump is a conman who just closed the biggest deal of his life, and whose presidency will compromise our country’s economy, security and integrity. But security and integrity cannot be easily measured, so I’ll focus on what can.
Below are screen-grabs of the Dow Jones industrial average (18,332.74) and national unemployment rate (4.9) before any election results were announced. I believe Trump’s leadership will have the opposite effect he claims: I believe he’ll negatively impact the stock market, lowering the Dow Jones average. And I believe his policies will increase unemployment.
So, one year from today, at the close of the market on November 8, 2017, I’ll revisit this post. If I’m wrong, I’ll print this page on a sheet of 8 ½ x 11 paper and LITERALLY EAT MY WORDS. I’ll videotape it and post it on this page.
So, now let’s find out which Trump fans are willing step up.
If you really stand by your choice as leader, take the challenge, promise to do the same if I’m correct one year from today, and post the video of your feast here. And please share this with other Trump supporters – the more, the merrier. We’ll use the honor system, so if you accept the challenge now, please don’t remove your post at a later date. You lose, you eat.
I truly hope I’m wrong. I sincerely hope our country thrives under Trump’s leadership and I hope we can all somehow win. This is merely my ridiculous attempt to encourage us all to take responsibility for our claims. Right now, we’re a nation seriously divided, with good friends and families on opposite sides of the chasm. So, let’s start mending… perhaps by doing something incredibly stupid.
Please don’t post your arguments, your criticisms, your commentary or your whining here. This is not the place for it. I don’t care. Accept the challenge or don’t.
