When we dared to dream big and birthed Project Kids in October 1996, it was with the single goal of constructing a “child-friendly” interview room that the Corona Police Department would be able to use when a child was in need. Our dream has grown beyond the limits of the imagination, and with the sole catalyst for all of the continued success being the Project Kids Committee, we have moved mounta
ins in our fight to keep all children safe. With April being “Child Abuse Prevention” month, our annual Golf Classic is in the history books as being one of great fun, food, prizes and a bit of golf. We know we couldn’t successfully host these two great annual events if not for all the support of those that sponsor the lanes and tees, bowlers, golfers, door prize and goody bag donators, and all those on the sidelines that cheer us on. We have been able to provide education through the Center for Missing and Exploited Children to the Corona-Norco Unified School District; purchased state of the art computer equipment to simplify the process of protecting our children on computers; provided the means to educate police officers and medical personnel that are in the trenches fighting for our kids – and all because we asked for support, and the generosity for the last ten plus years has been beyond belief. Each Committee member has a business to run daily, and each and every one of them has given of themselves to embrace our cause. They have done all that they can to help in the daily fight to protect those who don’t have the means to protect themselves – OUR CHILDREN! WE DO WHAT WE DO TO PRESERVE THE RIGHTS OF ALL CHILDREN!!
