Meet Edgar Rodriguez and Caroline Bustos!🌟

As Assistant Project Manager in Public Works, Edgar is the behind-the-scenes force helping turn ideas into reality all while enjoying hikes, family time, and experimenting with exotic recipes. 👨‍🍳🥾👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Caroline recently teamed up with the CIP team including Lynh Nguyen and Edgar Rodriguez to bring two incredible park projects to life in Corona’s historic downtown: the Victoria Park Splash Pad and the Sheridan Park Playground Improvement Project. 🌌

These community-driven spaces, funded by CDBG resources, were shaped by local voices and designed to reflect the traditions, dreams, and creativity of the families who call this area home. From honoring Corona’s Road Race legacy to launching imaginations into outer space, these parks are more than just places to play... they’re places to connect, celebrate, and grow. 🛝✨

🚰 Ensuring Reliable Water for Our Community

At the Utilities Department, we take a proactive approach to maintaining our water infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality service for our residents. 💧

Recently, our team identified a critical section of the Mills’ intertie—an essential connection between the regional water system and Corona’s network—that had reached the end of its service life. Working together across multiple divisions, we successfully replaced the corroded 24-inch pipe, strengthening our system for both planned maintenance and emergency situations.

This investment in infrastructure means greater reliability, improved efficiency, and peace of mind for our community.
