Did someone say celebration?! 🎊🍾

Join us Saturday, June 27th for a celebration commemorating our 107th Anniversary.

The celebration kicks off at 12:30 PM inside our doors with a variety of food from local restaurants, tabling resources, camaraderie with our veterans and local community members, and a ceremony celebrating 107 years of the historic Flanders Field VFW.

If you’re early, join us at 10:30 AM for our Inaugural Flanders Field 5K Honor Ruck, taking us into Flushing Meadows Corona Park, with pit stops along historical sites from the 1964-65 World Fair 🌎.

And if you’d like to be a part of our 107th Anniversary - whether it be recognizing a Veteran, honoring a loved one, or promoting your business - you can do so by taking out an ad in our 107th Anniversary journal. For more info, email us at [email protected].

Since our founding on June 23rd, 1919 by Veterans of the 1st World War, and a tradition carried by our current Veterans, having served from Iraq to Afghanistan, Vietnam and Korea, we continue to serve those who have served their nation 🇺🇸 and our communities of Corona, Jackson Heights, and the surrounding communities. So come on out and celebrate our birthday! 🎂

Suggested Donation: $40
(Includes Food, Soft Drinks, and Supporting Your Local Veterans!)

“Honor the Dead by Helping the Living”
- Veterans of Foreign Wars

On Saturday, members of the Flanders Field VFW took part in the laying of 🇺🇸 flags at Cypress Hills National Cemetery in Brooklyn for the 5th Annual VFW National Day of Service.

It was also a sobering reminder of the cost of liberty across generations this Memorial Day weekend.

Much gratitude 🙏 to Carlos Varon, a volunteer with , for coordinating this large effort year over year. And for his service and commitment to remembering those lost on the battlefield. 🪖

Today is Memorial Day… 🎗️🇺🇸

From the Revolutionary War for independence to the Civil War, the trenches of World War 1 to the European and Pacific theatres of World War 2, the frigid battles of Korea to the jungles of the Vietnam War, and the operations following 9/11, we remember all who gave their lives. Today, we remember those whom fought for liberty.
