Last month, we officially kicked off Rallypoint at Fuzi Pasta in Fresh Meadows — bringing veterans together with local chef-run restaurants throughout Queens while connecting our veteran community with morale, health & wellness programs.

Rallypoint is about more than sharing a meal. It’s about camaraderie, connection, and creating spaces throughout Queens where veterans can come together and feel part of a community.

A huge thank you to our sponsors and partners Hydro-Québec Energy Services U.S. and Queens Together, and to Fuzi Pasta and Chef Franco for welcoming us and helping us launch this initiative.

And excuse us while we play a little catch-up on some great moments from the past month! We’re catching our breath — and gearing up for a busy Veterans Day and holiday season ahead. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years ago today, on October 7, 2001, the United States and coalition partners launched Operation Enduring Freedom in response to the September 11 attacks, beginning military operations against al-Qaeda and the Taliban regime that provided it sanctuary in Afghanistan.

For the next two decades, generations of American service members answered the call—serving, sacrificing, and standing alongside our allies in Afghanistan and throughout the Global War on Terrorism.

Today, Flanders Field VFW Post 150 honors every Soldier, Marine, Sailor, Airman, Coast Guardsman, and Special Operator who served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

We remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We remember those who came home forever changed.

And we stand with every veteran who carried the mission forward.

Your service matters. Your sacrifice endures.

Earlier this month, members of Flanders Field VFW Post 150 visited the site of the World Trade Center to pay solemn tribute to those we lost on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸

We were honored to stand at the 9/11 Memorial alongside VFW Senior Vice Commander-in-Chief Glenn Umberger and VFW Department of New York District 1 Commander Emmitt Henry as we remembered the lives taken, the heroes who answered the call, and the families who continue to carry their memory forward.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Today, Flanders Field VFW Post 150 proudly recognizes National VFW Day, honoring the legacy of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and more than a century of service to America’s veterans, our military, and our communities.

Since 1899, the VFW has stood as a powerful voice for those who served overseas—fighting for veterans’ benefits, supporting military families, strengthening our communities, and ensuring that the sacrifices of America’s veterans are never forgotten.

At Flanders Field VFW Post 150, we remain committed to Advocacy, Assistance, Camaraderie, and Community—continuing a tradition of service that began in Queens in 1919.

All gave some. Some gave all. 🇺🇸
